I have a Veloster N with a GTX2867.. the spooling sound is pretty much all encompassing to the driving experience. Been told they hear the turbo from 2 damn blocks away. Loving the build btw New to your channel. I’ve kinda been hit by the a90 Supra bug .. looks so easy to make some power
i have a gen 2 gtx2867r on my mk6 GTI making 402 whp on 93 octane on a conservative tune and I can 100% agree with your statement. I might do an ethanol blend come summer and shoot for 450-460whp for mexico runs though. I absolutely love this turbo for a good all around performing turbo for street and highway pulls
@BabaYaga Racing didn't think I'd see you here lol. Wonder of yours is quicker than vehicle viral's? Wonder of botti tune is better than his? Both are insnaley great builds tho!
I lived in Orlando for about 21 years. As soon as I saw you driving on the road I knew you were on Semoran. I lived about 8 mins away from where you are. I just moved away like 2 years ago to Nevada for work. Just thought it was cool that you are so close to where I lived. Sick Supra build.
Sounds amazing , i have a 2020 2 port engine built supra with cp forged pistons + rods , ARP bolts, bearing ACL main , bearing ACL rods , cts turbo , meth injection , csf heat exchanger, csf trans cooler+ aux radiators , csf intake manifold , vswr downpipe , 4 inch awe no resonator exhaust , ftp charge pipe , cts air filter, ecu tuned , trans tune , hitting the dyno in a couple of days , and my next step is upgrading the trans or switching to top mount turbo wish me luck 🙏🏽🤍
@@fyzikal5 hohoho so here we have a wikipedia rat... First the main post is not specifically saying this car, he's talking about turbo whistle.. to which I stated, turbo have awesome gains but NA sounds better, (still not talking about any car, just NA or turbo in general... ) You asked if the came comes stock with turbo i said yes, twin turbo, and that the last generation, MKIV, was offered turbo and NA... yes the new supra is offered in 6 and 4 cylinder... Now also they offer manual transmission, that's old news to which I ask now... WTF are you asking?
The mere fact your supra is identical to mine. While you test it in my neighborhood street is hilarious and dope 😂! The neighbors think im a lunatic now when in reality its been you this entire time!💀
bmw blows my mind like why would you put the lpfp under the car directly ABOVE the exhaust… so a future fuel pump leak could be catastrophic all because they want to make it harder on the consumer so they bring it to the dealer smh
There's a lot of hardware stores that have gas cap fix it nozzles that makes the gas cans actually usable and not BEP a garbage that they forced upon. Everybody highly recommend it worth 10 bucks.
Nice video! Well edited! Informative! Good quality! Try the method below for fuel removal instead of one day exploding from static discharge. 1. remove the Schrader valve needle on the fuel rail. 2. run a hose to a gas can from the Schrader valve. 3. jump the relay switch contacts with a pair of tweezers by removing the relay and putting tweezers into the switch pin locations(generally it's 87 to 30 for the switch. the pins will be upside down and diagonal from each other) this will activate the pump to pump out all of the fuel... LMFAO.. showered in gasoline for now reason.
Bought two of those home depot cans for my genrator and figured out how bad they sucked when i was trying to put gas in my generator during the storm lol. On topic, B58 is a beast of a motor
It’s amazing but not insane. VQ37 can make this on stock block and internals with a super charger and 850-900 on stock. There hasn’t been much data on built ones going past 1600 tho due to fuel
Anybody who doesn't like turbo whislte doesn't like performance cars... That is a sound usually only heard in turbo diesels, and it's how all turbos should sound.
Yeah I was one of those that thought it was too high pitch. Like there’s other t51r mods that sound better. The frequency on this particular one is not as attractive. I’ll still take it though lmao 😂
Wow first time I heard of the T51R mod! Def doing it to my mazdaspeed6 with a BNR S6, asking the company to see if I can still run a CAI and get a lot of the noise
What gear did you dyno in? I got my baseline dyno done and they did it in 6th gear since that is 1:1 .. but damn it gets up around the 160 or so mph in that gear!! Your pulls seemed significantly shorter than mine .. granted, way more power .. but i'm still gonna guess you did 5th gear?? If so, wondering what doing 5th does to hp / tq numbers with it not being 1:1 ?
We did 5th. 6th gear wheel spin on the dyno is too sketch. 6th gear definitely records higher numbers from my experience. More load and like you said closed to 1:1.
Will this car ever put this type of power down and how much would you said you spent to get to this power level? I just sold my STi and I want to get into another car but idk if RWD is safe
Amazing engine and build but I feel like this is why awd is necessary for high hp cars. What’s the point of having all the hp if you can’t put it down?
Dope video !! I’m essentially doing same mods except I don’t have CSF manifold I went port injection , Flex , reflex ,Meth, 67mm top Mount but needing to find someone in Florida to instal the PI and flex , and LPFP
Actually put a T51R mod on the stock turbo housing… and I must admit. It kinda sucks. You hear that high pitch whistle at like 1,800 rpm’s and when you’re on the freeway, it NEVER goes away.
T51R is best turbo/turbo sound mod. If you don't like that sound I'm convinced you aren't an actual car enthusiast, but rather "into cars" for clout instead.
Real talk, how is the trans holding that power? I thought these transmissions could only handle a little above 650 without problems, but after 690/700 they start breaking down. Can anyone explain a little I'm just curious?
Dynos measure torque not power, power is calculated from torque, using imperial units, then plotted on the same scale means the formula never, ever, ever allows for torque and power to cross at anything other then 5252rpm. The formula you plug the data into doesn't change. Correction factors simply express the actual dyno data from the test site and massages it back some lab amounts you don't drive down the road with. With 2 degrees more timing the graph seems to move up another 100 rpm from the already eye squinting cross point, can you show clean data from the pull, unadjusted? At 23:40 you'd be hard pressed reading anything else then 5500rpm cross point. With correction factor removed your pull made under 700 horses without factoring in background massaging. I'm interested to know, did the drive down the street feel like 727hp?
Torque and HP scaling are different on the graph, that's why it doesn't cross at 5252rpm. Operator probably misclicked at one point. Power measured doesn't change however. So it's an accurate reading. And yes, it feels like a 700HP car.
Thousands of dollars in parts, but use some cheap wire splices that punch through the wires??????? Soldier and heat shrink isn’t difficult. Thank you for sharing the build though !
Not so sure about reliability after just 105,000 miles...No prior warnings, and BOOM!!! This is not spam... I really need help with this. My 2017 BMW 540i G30 just burned a valve #4 cylinder. (105k miles) I had the vsfr high flow cat, upgraded charge pipe, k&n air filter, new B58TU Fuel pump, and Bootmod3 Stage 2+ 93 octane. I am beyond depressed!😢 I am a Single Dad with 1 special needs, child. I was told I need a new engine that will cost 21k installed. I just can't! 😭 I still owe 25k, and it is my only car. I have nothing right now and am about to lose my job. I can't get my kids to the doctors, etc... If you can please reach out to your connections and see if they can help, I would be forever grateful 🙏 (Huntsville, Alabama USA) 🤔A rebuild and breakdown of what went wrong with my B58 might help others with B58. (Content Idea) God bless you, brother!!! ~J. McCall
@VehicleVirals Love the channel. You would do the community a great service to unplug that fuse (if there is one on those cars) to let us hear the accurate sound....cuz that car sounds too good to be true...literally.
