Jalas you are one of the few Kenyans I respect. You are such a down-to-earth man, I envy your traits. Be blessed and may you live longer to inspire generation after generations!
Have worked as a cleaner, nurse and seamstress ,cleaning is the most paid and less stress, as nurse ur everything for that patient from a to Z if you know Wat I mean and little money so don't wonder folks rather clean than shifts and all that! This is in diaspora so Don know about other places!
I can relate first job was earning 62/= a day thats in 1995 the days i used to hold a KBS receipt kwa mdomo and it teaches u to relate to all and sundry
JALAS REAL DEFINITION OF INSPIRATION. KEEP IT UP PARLIAMENT IS WHERE WE WANT TO SEE YOU COS YOU CAN REALLY RELATE TO WHAT ALOT OF CITIZENS ARE GOING THROUGH
Everything that Jalas said about Capital fish is damn true. I used to work for my uncle who supplied fish there from places like Sindo, Mbita, Remba island and Muhuru bay. The Israelites were the only bosses there (since its owned by an Israel, btw even WESTGATE belong to the same guy who owned Capital fish), tough work in deed. Offloading fish on those TATA lories was not a joke, leave alone that, washing the fish before filleting was one of a hell job, Jalas this is a story and half. I heard your story there too mahn. I like this man.
Wow, touching but sorry, Israelites made me laugh. To be fair both Israelites and Israelis are translated as waisraeli in Swahili but I didn’t expect to read the first outside the Bible, sorry
#A story a day. Great lesson . Never look down on anyone. We are equally important. Each role is important .@Jalango Mwenywe this one is worth the while.
My 1st job was plaiting kids hair in the neighbourhood don't remember how much i got maybe 30 bob per kid but could only plait 2 mybe cause i atimes it was washing kids hair first cause it was full of sand then plaiting alafu while plaiting they would fall asleep so you can only do it if you love kids and a times they would just come even the mothers are not aware ,later me i just go to collect my money!
