Carly is such an amazing sister.

I'm proud of Carly for finally standing up for herself. Her life was wrapped around Blake. Her mother wasn't taking care of them, so Carly had to grow up fast and be the parent. Eli was the wake-up call she needed to live her own life. Blake and their mom were so selfish. I mean, Carly may be Blake's sister, but she also has her own life to live. She had her own dreams. Her own goals that she wanted to accomplish. Which she did when stood up for herself and left them.

Now I know why children such as Carly needed some space because she offered a huge opportunity to become a filmmaker with Eli but everytime she tried to do her own things her mother and Blake keeps getting in her way

This story hit hard. I have an autistic younger brother and ever since he was born he was getting way more attention. I helped my mother from a young age, taking care of him when I could or just by helping her at anything I could. Others always said how responsible I am, especially considering my age. From time to time I felt like I was the mother. Once I threw a tantrum about how much I felt ignored and how I always had to put his needs before mine. First my parents scolded me, but later they started to acknowledge and encourage me more. They are much better than Carli's mom and sister but this story still made me think. Now my parents encourage me and tell me not give up on my dreams because of my brother's needs, although the future is still very uncertain. I just wanted to say how much I can relate and that I'm thankful that msa has more stories about deeper topics.

I honestly had tears and I saw these types of stories multiple times on MSA but I never cried but when Carly told her mom about her feelings I felt like her in my place and started crying. This video deserves a like. Edit: OMG I never got this many likes. thx

Sometimes you just have to be selfish, do what you love, take care of yourself and let others think about themselves. No one was born to take care of anyone forever, not even parents. And if you actually find yourself in a situation to take care of someone and they aren't grateful for your sacrifices, then they aren't worth it. I loved this story ❤

Finally, a normal reaction when bullied by family. MSA really needs to show videos where protagonist takes a stand rather than just being kind, stupid, ever going forgiving shit. People can be cruel and same random act of kindness is not gonna put them in line

Loved the forgiveness in this story...although I'd kind of find it hard to do that. I'm the last born in a family of four and my immediate older sister is asthmatic. When I was younger, I felt all the attention went to her and she always made me feel like a black sheep. We always fought to the extent our parents gave up on separating us. There was even a time she was having an attack and I decided not to help her. I felt really bad because she ended up spending the night at the hospital and I was home alone cause my mom had to be with her. I know you may ask of my other siblings but they're like ten and twelve years older so they were never around. After that, I kind of just gave up on hating her. I haven't forgiven her wholly as I'm still trying to see her in a positive way but this story kind of touched me. It's kind of odd because she told me she was jealous of me because I was smarter so she worked hard to also be smart. She's more hardworking than me now, which doesn't pain me that much. I'm just glad she's getting better now. Thank you MSA for this wonderful story.

Also, I'm glad Carly acknowledged her feelings for her dreams, worked hard to improve her health while trying to take care of her sister and still managed to go to college despite feeling underappreciated at times! If you ever feel like you're not appreciated in your family, I'm here to tell you that you will always be appreciated no matter what! Well done, MSA! Oh and I'm glad Blake and their Mom redeemed themselves at the end!

this was the first story of MSA that touched my heart, where i just imagined myself in the character and could not stop crying. i loved it. seriously please never use ur children for anything. They have their own life and they deserve to live it whole heartedly.

As someone with binge eating disorder this story makes me so fucking happy to know I’m not the only one. I just wished she showed more about the struggles not the gains of losing weight.

I hope that Carly's family do come to her wedding. Not just her mom, and sister Blake, but also her stepdad, half twin brothers, and even her aunt (who might make her wedding dress, but this time in the right size).

I feel sorry to what Carly has been going through, but I understand that she wanted to have some time to herself by not always looking out for her sister even though it concerns her condition health reasons. However her mom shouldn’t really abused her own daughter by keeping her with Blake just so she can take time of her busy work schedule and not let Carly choose to be who she’s with by letting her being herself.

She is very confident and I love how she's able to follow her dreams after all the things that happened to her and her sister and her condition❤❤
