I've been working at a Jack in the box Going on 11 years now and I gotta say, I hate it when the customers don't drive up to the window right and you can usually tell by hearing their personalities or attitudes on the speaker as they're ordering their food but of course, I will never wish anything like this on any of those customers I. Feel so bad for that guy.

That's exactly what I thought of. I think Anton''s Jeep Grand Cherokee had a manufacturers design flaw which shortly after the accident a recall was sent out for.

This was a sad ending, but actually I thought it was going to be much worse. I thought you were going to tell us that when the driver backed up, he backed into the car behind him. The driver in the car behind him got out of his car and was angry, then an argument ensued and shots were fired killing one of the drivers. It's still too bad it all happened the way that it did, but I'm glad it wasn't between angry humans. Of course a big tree doesn't argue with a car, it always stands fast.

A similar scenario happened on July 16 between a road rage driver and a man he pointed a gun at. Indianapolis police said the guy, who immigrated from India in 2016, got out of his car with a gun and was shot in return by the other person. Its on video.

Poor guy. :/. I feel bad for the drive thru employees or anyone else nearby that had to see that, as you don’t really ever forget stuff like that. One of many examples that if it’s your time to go then it will happen, nothing you can do and you never know WHEN it will happen.

This happened in my hometown of St. Louis MO. While i no longer live there I'm still very familiar where that Jack in the Box is, and Lamont is right, there is a hospital, SLUH, St. Louis University Hospital, not too far from that location.

Goes to show we never know when our time is up. Poor guy what an awful thing to have happen. I've had a few close calls. Once I was sitting in my car which was under a tree drinking a coffee. I decide to leave and as I drove away just a few feet lightning struck the tree. Condolences to the family of Charles Wood Jr.🙏

I bet he realized he had to put car in park to open the door to grab his meal, but accidentally threw it in reverse, car rolled backwards, he panicked snd hit the gas instead of the brake. Must have been hungry, sometimes don't think clearly when really hungry.

Always put your car in park at any drive thru , I learned that by watching another driver making the mistake of just putting their foot on the break and leaning out their window. I even put it in park for bank atm and for getting a parking garage ticket to pay it later on. Just be safe and put it in park.

Death by tree! Nature won that fight. You would think that the tree would be removed so it doesn't happen again or at least a rail or retaining wall would be put up. I could honestly see that happening again.

I've never been to a Jack In The Box- I see the commercials on the american tv stations. How does it compare to the other fast food chains ? That is a bizarre accident to happen at any drive thru. Looks like a old but nice neighbourhood. All those big stone brick houses. They don't build houses like that anymore.

Long story short, most of us to go through drive-through at least once a day or once a week when you go to pick up your food or drinks if you’re not close to the window, put the damn car in park open up the door and walk over and grab the foodinstead of trying to go back-and-forth and adjusting yourself I’m sorry this happened to the young man, but it happened to me plenty of times. I just put the car in park open up the door and get my ass out of the car and grab it.😂

this happens far more often than u would think. i have heard of quite a few incidents similar to this. usually they are crushed between the drive thru wall and door though.

I'm from Texas and we've always called it Jack n the Crack. No reason, just silly. 😅 They have the BEST egg rolls and mini tacos. I live literally 1 minute from our local Jack n The Box.

Shoot this kinda reminds me of that freak accident that happened to a famous actor a couple of years ago ,i forget his name..I think either you or another youtuber on here had covered it.. where he stepped outside his car to check his mailbox..and his Car went in reverse hitting and killing him right in his driveway ..cept in his situation his house was kinda on a steep hill.. and reportedly the kind of car he had many other people who had owned the same vehicle had similar problems with their cars going in reverse and they sued the car company. Anyway wow what a crazy way to go just so quick and sudden with not even thanking you could die by just simply getting your food at a fast food drive thru.

Poor guy. There’s a jack in the box here in Riverside that had an abandoned stolen car in the parking lot for days and a body was in the trunk and it involved kidnapping murder robbery police pursuit and finally the abandoned car and body

If you twist your body and land your foot awkwardly on the gas petal, and floor it. Your car accelerates quickly. And our bodies are literally liquid bags held in by only our skin, and held up only by our bones. Our bones are strong, but when compared to a car and a tree, the ONLY give point is you. And even just having a car very very slowly roll down hill cam crush you on a slope, if you are between the car and a solid object. I.e. that actor who was crushed between his gate and his jeep that rolled backwards on him while he checked the mail. He now has a life-like statue of himself at his grave in Hollywood.

Also strange that the angle was so sharp to hit that tree. On average you would think he would just keep going almost straight back. Why were his tires turned so sharply?
