@@lisawilson105 the reason why she had a hard time thinking she could compete in the pageant is the same reason, it appears, why she was offended that the lady asked her if she was from this country. She is a woman of a darker hue. I don’t see why you find it hard considering that although she may be beautiful and probably the most beautiful woman I’ve seen in a long time, she might actually have internal issues from events throughout her life. You seem very ignorant in terms of how America works.

I don't want to sound like I'm bragging cuz I'm not, but I experience that jealous look everyday. Pretty Dark-skinned black girls get a lot hate, even from other black women. I've seen black girls get into fights with another black girl bc this other black girl dropped a pencil by accident on her foot. Just like I've seen a hefty white girl jump on the back over a small skinny white girl for a reason I did not know about. These girls were not women. They did not have a woman's heart. But it's not based on their race, but bc of their character.

BTW this pageant is no longer owned by Trump who produces typical beauty Queen that not all women can relate. This Pageant promotes positivity to all ordinary women. I know pageants are crazy because competing against each other and being judge through beauty standards. This Pageant can be compared to basketball, boxing and etc. The difference is that its only once in a life time. We all know Pageant is every girl's dream while Victoria's Secret Show is every Model's dream. The winner is no celebrity or typical so called beauty queen but she is someone that to be admired.

Nobody will ever know how many lives Leslie touched. She’s from my hometown and she would come back to our high school to encourage the cheerleaders and drill team and remind us of our inner beauty and our value. We adored her and looked up to her. She was beautiful inside and out and is greatly missed, especially in Paris, Texas. Rest In Peace, Leslie.

I’m 53 and although I have no computer skill. I’m trying after all these years now that my kids are grown, to catch a career over a job. I was skinny and dark in the south which made things even worse. Blessings that she was able to have someone positive spark that light inside her. FYI today I'm 50 and in a size 6, and people think I'm in my 30s. I just told my daughter today (23) that she has her whole life to grow into the body and person she wants to be. I started speaking to a lady about my grandson being bullied and she got quiet for a minute and then explain to me that she was a bully when she was a kid she said she was so hurt Growing Up by her family that it was bad and so she wanted to hurt people and she realize that now that she was grown and regretted it so much
