The thing is when you're conciously trying to FC/AP a song you get a higher chance at NOT doing it cuz 💀 every time I get a chain of combo/perfects i go "let's keep this going" then the next moment my fingers WILL betray me

yes me too 😭😭 most of the time when i get aps are when im not focusing, but bc i got the ap effect on the combo thing sometimes im like 1000 ap notes in i screw up and get like ONE singular great bc i was focusing

Your brain treats the whole combo meter as a source of anxiety and if the impulse is strong enough, your instincts will do anything to get rid of it (AKA intentionally mess up so you don’t feel anxious anymore)

i have noticed that the colorful state is very more easier to mess to the up notes and the hold notes even if you can’t understand japanese it’s probably better if you play on there since it’s better with gameplay and songs. (japanese is my first language)

Pro tip from an ipad kid user: when you arre currently ap’ping and not getting a great/good/miss the combo counter shines while getting a great it stops shining and when you get good/miss the combo counter outlines stops

Another way to tell if ur still on an AP is if it’s rainbowish if it’s completely pink u screwed up (the combo number on the side of screen))

Current versions of the game has a glow around the combo number when you have AP. Before the update, they do not have that (you can see in the video that there's no glow on the combo counter), so FC and AP look the exact same on the combo counter, and the only way to tell was by counting Greats and below
