I did this and love it! My one facepalm with my laser measure, though, was that I was measuring ceiling heights all over my kitchen and dining room (an old house so looking to see just how uneven it was) and I realized my ceilings were too low for 40" IKEA cabinets, so I spent a day researching how to trim them down.... until I remembered I needed to add 4" to all of my numbers to account for the measure.... aaaaand we are back on track for 40" cabs. The first measure taken when you get a laser measure is an analog one of the actual device!
