My dad was born in guate and my mom was born in Mexico. I was the first US born in my family from both sides. Been to both multiple times and always catch myself debating if I'm more of one than the other but in the end I'm proud of carrying both cultures. 🇲🇽🇬🇹💪🏾💯 Like this if your also mixed!

Guatemala was Capitania General of Centroamerica including Chapas and Soconusco from Mexico and a part of Belice for more then 200 years. Guatemala Heart of the Mayan World.

My grandfather was Secretary to the Presidency under Ubico. That plus three dollars will get you some green tea at Starbucks. My grandfather was exiled and wound up in Nicaragua. He left my mother and her siblings in Guatemala. She came to the United States where I was born and am now living in Newport Coast……..THANKS MOM !!!
