As a Nepali, I'm surprised how accurate it was. Although, u did miss ALOT but its enough to understand. Lots of love from Nepal. Wishing u great success.
3:25 It was the Maoists that waged an armed civil war. Nepal didnt have a unified 'Communist Party of Nepal' then. The only other big one was the Marxist-Lenninist party which had left any hopes of an armed revolution long long back. Aside from that, a very good video. Loved it👑
So much has happened in the valleys of the world’s tallest peaks. This guy forgot to mention the 2015 earthquake, though. Next is another great country. The land of windmills, tulips, clogs and people who speak Dutch… Holl- I mean The Netherlands! 🇳🇱
There is no evidence very existed that Mauryan or Gupta dynasty ever ruled Nepal. As proud Nepalese its kind of hurting where did you collected this evidence
@@neutralboi1984 as we know border always changes.Ok then UP, Bihar, Sikkim Uttarakhand with half of Ladak has control of Nepal does that mean whole India was under Nepal?
@@neutralboi1984 Ashoka was an Indian ruler who traveled to different places in the sub continent to spread Buddhism. That doesn't mean the places he went were under his control. He visited other kingdoms and spread ideas and in Lumbini, built that pillar. If Lumbini was under his control, he would've built much more than just a pillar. He would've built huge temples and palaces. But he wasn't ruler of the place. He was just a visitor who decided to give tribute to the birthplace of Buddha just like how many countries have built temples, stupas and monasteries in Lumbini area recently. Similarly, Ashoka also visited Kathmandu valley and her daughter Charumati was married to prince who ruled the Pashupati and Chabahil area that time. So he built a Stupa in Chabahil which is still there along with other stupas in Patan. So, he just visited and built those structures. He never was the ruler of those places
Few corrections: 1. Nepal won against Tibet. Later, Qing Dyansty Captured Tibet, and asked Nepal to pay tribute for protection against foreign enemy. Nepal of that time rejected the offer and went to war, which the lost. 2. Nobody knows who was behind Royal Massacare 3. Asokha and/or other empreor from India didn't rule over Nepal or parts of its Territory. Asokha came for visit to Lumbini.
yea my parents tell me that the son was framed by the kings brother (his uncle). My grandpa was one of the royal families friends , and he had told us that the son had a perfect life, he was perfect in everything, he was the air to the throne and so much more, so even if he did kill his dad, why would he kill him self? Because of the corruption behind the government, the best guess is that the uncle had bribed the royal families guards to turn against them. (everyone that lives in nepal know about the corruption behind the government and a majority beilive the theory that I just told)
It's proved that his son killed him every witness of palace said it was dipendra who killed his family. Even in cctv dipendra was in army uniform carrying a machine gun
As a Nepali myself, I'd say he just summarized those things that are either popular or are said by western and indian media. Only 30-40% of it is true. A country with thousand's of year old history can never be summarized in a 4minute video.
Rana Dynasty was also dictatorship, it's synonyms with dictatorship in common Nepali tongue. Anyone tries to take law on their hand, the person or leader if often nicked name 'Rana Rule'. Nobody says so about the King, yes technically he was in charge like any monarch in ancient time but we don't call them dictator. The Ranas killed more than 300 senior government officials in one night; their rival faction and took power for themselves.
@@lepmuhangpa 1. Just because it arose from hinduism, it still doesn't make that hinduistic statue a buddhist one. 2. Again, area doesn't determine the statue.
Licchavi dynasty is not from india ... the researchers just assumes tht lichhavi could be from bihar but its not 🤦♀️ ... some say they do where as some say they don't belong to india but we as newar know for the fact tht we don't come from india .
Licchavi rulers were definitely more of Indian descent (possibly from the Mithila region). later, the Malla dynasty was basicly the offspring of intermingling between Kiratis and Licchavi era Newar. That is why today's Newars lool like mix of Sino-Tibetian and Indo-Aryan people.
@@pocoloco1488 Hell No Newari ppl used to exist even before and no we are not the mix offspring of kirat and lichhavi dynasty ... But we sure are the off spring of lichhavi dynasty tho . Newa (Newari) community ppl use existed side ways along with kirat and lichhavi dynasty , that is kingdom of Nepa ( Fact : kingdom of Nepa is also mentioned in Mahabhart , along with kirata dynasty , lichhavi dynasty ) ... Half of today's Newari community ppl are the offspring and the descendants of the kingdom of Nepa and Lichhavi . Ppl from Lichhavi dynasty and Ppl from Nepa dynasty are related to each other as both share same brach or roots of existence ... We do not come from indian bckground . Newari ppl are Native to Nepal . Don't try to teach my ancestors history to me some time everything in internet is not always true ... and those researchers who said Newari ppl are descendants of india is actually just assumption ..... " JUST AN ASSUMPTION "
@@bhanupratap1063 No we are not from India we did not migrated from india Also Nepali ppl are we not completely combination of tibetan, Indian and Mongolian ppl but Partially some community ppl are / hav the tibetan and Mongolian bckground . There are ppl in Nepal who are Native to Nepal . But if u wanna talk abt our (Nepali ppl ) existence then talk abt ur countries ppl existence as well who says indian ppl are Native to india . population of india consists ppl who migrated from Africa, Iran and Central Asia .
@@johanashrestha9266 Chill. I never said you guys are basically Indians lol. I said Licchavi rulers were more of Indian decent not nationality wise but physiologically wise. This is where some of your Indo Aryan features come from. Also, Kirats were the first recorded inhabitants of Ktm valley and we don’t follow Hinduism. Hinduism only flourished in the Licchavi period. Now where do you think Hinduism came to Nepal from?Tibet??😂 obviously it came from ancient India. Just because a portion of your genetics come from India doesn’t mean you’re whole Indian. Even we Kirati people have some Tibetan,Burmese roots. You should get a DNA test someday, you’ll be surprised to see how many regions our ancestors are related to.
