I’ve had great success with Octopus’ Electroverse RFID charger card. So I thought I’d see if I could catch it out and find a charger it didn’t work seamlessly on.

Only 1 public rapid charger in Huddersfield town (population, about 300,000) appeared to have power the other day when I was visiting, never mind taking payment. The one that was powered up wouldn't communicate with my EV. Hmm.

Great video, and assuring as an Octopus customer. For route planning, which app did you find the most helpful? I use car play, iphone user. Normally when i navigate, i use Waze, but not sure how these EV app route planner works in that regard. Many thanks

I like the built-in route planner in the octopus app. But the best one is of course ABRP.

I've ordered my card. Just waiting for it. I'm fed up of £45 authoritied payments especially on a busy Bank holiday when it takes longer in pending. I was using bonnet but im now have had enough with apps. So hopefully this card will help. I wish my car had that button to stop charging

With the card you can generally tap to stop charging. Hopefully it works as well for you as it does for me!

I've only used my card on Osprey and those required tap card to stop. I quite like tap to stop as shared chargers can quite often be confusing and too easy to stop the wrong connector.

I agree. I can stop my charge via the button on the car too, but only if unlocked.

AFAIK you need to complete a charge before we get the money
