What did you spray onto the cones ? 15 thousand bees , how long did it take and how many trips did you make and how many times did you get stung ? Did you get sick ? Was there a queen bee inside ? What does swarmed mean ? Sorry for all these questions but I would like to know .
I sprayed sugar water. It gives them something to eat and makes them less likely to reject the box. It takes about 20-30 minutes for swarms to get all the way in. You drop the main part of the cluster in first and the queen is in there. The others follow her pheromone in. Swarm means the old nest hatched a new queen who took it over and the old queen took half of the bees and left to go start a new nest. It's how they spread
