In his poem ‘Jahn khelat vasant rituraj’, Kabir describes a place he wants to reach -a place with ‘anahat’, a mystical sound symbolising the origin of the universe. He makes many beautiful references to the role of music, especially the veena of Sarasvati in connecting with the divine. This act is a symphonic poem, a wordless instrumental composition, expressing the essence of Kabir’s poetry - where millions of Saraswatis, the Goddess of Music, play on the veena. This beautiful translation of the original text is by none other than Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
