The Kai Tak Sports Park has been designed to support the Hong Kong Government’s aims to promote sports for all, support elite athletes, and make Hong Kong a centre for major international sports events.
In order to maximize the space usage, the sports park has a remarkable flexibility, which is represented through its moving roof, retractable seats, and a pitch system which can be switched between quality natural turf for premier games to other surface for a myriad of sports, entertainment, and community events. The flexibility also shows its goal of being integrated with the neighborhood community.
