A Tank So Mid Everybody Forgot About It | FV4202 

If I may seem a bit off, it's just because this was recorded during 31°C heat (room temperature) so I was extremely uncomfortable.

Everybody forgets about British tanks, and fv4202 is the most forgotten among them

I still love this tank even though I haven't played it in ages. This was the first tank I ever got with "true" APDS. And I remember it being the thing that showed me both the potential power, and the potential failure, of the type. I still remember the first kill I got with it. SU-100 with his back to me. Meant to hit him in the back of the casemate. The shot deviated low, went through his engine completely, and came out the other side into the crew compartment with enough spall to immediately crew wipe him (I've always assumed it managed to use the engine itself to generate more spall than usual as it punched through it). Up until that point I had only ever seen engines eat rounds before, so this experience had me wide eyed. Then the very next shot hit a T-44 dead center of the crew compartment under the turret through the side. Passed completely through, perfectly between the turret crews legs, and went out the other side. Didn't touch a damn thing, and didn't even generate any spall. **The duality of APDS**

The problem is people get so scared of its extremely angled ufp even though its the weakwest point, they try to shoot turret cheeks and the flat half ring hull below the gun, honestly would be a pretty decent vehicle if it have reverse speed

Only visually british tanks from centurion mk1 and up looks stunningly good

When i played 2018 in my tiger 2 (h) i got killed every round from 285mm apds from these stabilised mfs

mass somewhat equal to t-54, engine power somewhat equal to t-54: not even half of t-54 mobility yep thats Britain

not me who has ben playing the shit out of this thing for the past 4 hours... it actually does pretty well since nobody knows how to deal with it because like 60% of them have never seen this thing before fun fact the front of this thing's turret is perfectly shaped for the round "eagle eye" decal if you have it, would recommend it looks great on there

this tank is a test bed for the driving position of a Chieftain

There's one type of vehicle that is great in War Thunder, but for some reason nobody talks about it, which are the Panzer II C or D light tanks (Both are basically the same)

There are three types of prototypes vehicles. Good desing that was latery adopted, very expensive over ambitious projct, and very bad tank.

FV4202 is wonderful you just gotta play hull down and rely on your turret armor and rangefinder

I play it as a main tank atm. It’s quite good

I use to play it everyday at 7.0 (along with the Tortoise) even after That snail nerfed APDS so hard even if my shell got shattered alot at the time of the nerf i still played it. Until it got up to 7.3 i went back to 5.3.

I remember when this thing and the Centurion Mk.3 were 6.3 (Solid shot SUCKED back then so it made sense) but for a good while - people struggled against it due to the stablizer, pen, and that turret face being so strong.

I do enjoy this tank, I'd recommend using the stock AP round and having the APDS for hard targets only

I would always recommend the normal AP for Light tanks just because the spall is so bad with the APDS.

I just recently started down the brit line. I have premiums to get a taste of the nation, but i’m at 7.3 now on brit. Surprisingly troll armor for those that have it, and great rounds for the br.

i remember when this was 6.7 and this was an annoying tank to fight against at 5.7 because of its turret armor same with the Centurions and the Vickers Mk 1, the Centurions and FV4202s were decent threats to fight against

I remember playing this tank in a battle where i ran out of ammo and did really good but that match spaded it so I never used it again

Ever played the AC.IV, it's normally pretty good fun and you can make a respectable line up with it from memory

This was my first simulator battle vehicle

Not only was the first tank French but for an entire century the british would essentially copy and paste French designs like modern day Chinese

huge amounts of spall i love it

so Polar, I dont think you realise that 'squad marks' only show on the map for the guy you're in a squad with (By default the green tank), if you want to mark someone use squad mark then hold alt and tag him on the map normally (The squad marker makes your mark more accurate)

The FV4202 is a great tank overall. Has a stabiliser, rangefinder, decent armour. Mobility is shit, but I play the Maus for fun so I really don't care all that much.

This is prob the tank that normal people will think about when you say tank (the shape etc) and polarfuchs I have question, so imagin that I (again) grinned to Germany rank 3/4 but i find myself in a lot of uptiers, should i change my line-up tech tree (ni wanna try Americans and Brit’s) or just live with it ( you made my day by reading my comments)

Im soon to unlock this thing cause I thought it was gonna be a good idea to play Britain. WITH NO PREMIUN so my pain is atleast twenty four times worse. Honestly a Stab at 7.7 doens't sound that bad considering that most of the things you see here doens't have it, perhaps these other things has a better reload time... Im looking at you Somua... but you have an advantage for having a stabilized barrel.

In terms of Design it's actually looks cool btw but everyone just ignore British tech tree unless it was as a top tier one But the Fv4202, no mount top mg, no explosive filler ammo, poor mobility, what could possibly wrong with
