Sage Valley Golf Club. Just up the road from Augusta is a private enclave that offers its members and guests world class hospitality on a grand scale. It’s awfully hard to find someone that will tell you “no” there. The golf is played on one of the deepest shades of green you’ll ever see and it makes for very photogenic memories. It’s not the National, but perhaps a distant cousin twice removed. The course is a treat to play and filled with challenges. Fazio, but with a deft touch. The walk is quite enjoyable and the scenery is most impressive. The caddies are characters with quick wit and sharp eyes for breaking putts. Come for the golf and stay for the Cap steak. Order the Elvis for dessert and thank me later.

You would have to go there In person to really see that Is true. Unlike other courses who claim this, Sage has the exact climate and surroundings as Augusta being less than 20 miles away from Augusta National. The rolling hills are even the same at Sage. The course itself has the most hospitality I've seen at any course. The friendliness of the members and staff sure has Augusta beat that's for sure hands down! It's rumored that Weldon said he’d build a course just as nice as Augusta; well I'm here to tell you he sure did a very good job at it! because it's every bit as nice as Augusta, and even a notch above in many other ways. All it's missing is the history Augusta National has, but who cares. This course has a history of its own and a good guy ”Mr Wyatt” as the founder.

I've heard so many courses claim they're the closest thing to Augusta National lol. This is a beautiful track though.

It's 15 minutes away from the national and the dude built it to imitate it after repeatedly not being invited to be a member. I've caddied for members at both, they're nearly identical, one just has the history. Sage has copied everything

I've caddied there and augusta national. They literally copied everything down to the azaleas and caddy suits. The owner never received invitation to the national so he developed this. It's 15-20 minutes away from the national. It's literally the closest thing you'll get. The green complexes are built the same the rules are the same, the pines and straw are used the same. The bunkers are the same sand the fairways and rough are the same rye grass. Certain holes at sage clearly mirror holes at augusta. It's the closest you'll ever come. It's 2k for a foursome in masters week for a reason.
