we really need to get a lot of people out of prison. we're literally having high class marijuana terpene meals being made while people get years and years for having a little pot
Man I need to find friends like this who have dinner parties like these!! Everything looked so wonderful! Loved the dabs too! What a fantastic way to experience a meal & hang with friends 👏
I just want to have a homegrown underground cannabis farm and host intimate parties for my loved ones with cannabis infused foods. Actually coming back to this in 3years. Manifesting it. Also, this was absolutely delectable to watch
@@luisquintero3606 hell no most parents don't smoke weed man they drink or are sober as a damn saint in my experience :') but yea smoking with a parent is a blessing so having a cannabis infused dinner with a mescal cocktail sounds like a win for anyone but maybe you can achieve it by doing it yourself easier than getting some group of people to do it for you haha
I used to find stuff like this really interesting, but as I enjoy this neat content it’s started to leave more and more a bad taste in my mouth. Seeing people who look just like me making weed “fancy” and enjoying these things that other people are still getting thrown in jail for.. just doesn’t sit well. Maybe I’m using this wrong but, am I right to say this is a visual of gentrification of weed?
As someone who has brushed in with the law over weed, I can tell you that most DAs aren't trying to ruin lives over a little pot. The people who go to prison with weed charges are overwhelmingly people who are charged with drug sales and possession of amounts of herb far in excess of what a casual user would ever have. In addition, a lot of these dealers getting charged are multi time offenders, with more than just a misdemeanor possession charge on their criminal records. And for those of us who live in states which have legalized, we'd literally have to come under FEDERAL INVESTIGATION before there'd be a risk of being arrested for pot. I'm not gonna be so bold as to say NOBODY is imprisoned for misdemeanor possession, but I am bold enough to say that if they are in prison it's not JUST for having some personal smoke and getting caught once. I got a buddy in the pen for selling LSD and MDMA, which I'm sure we can agree are drugs that are a liiiiiittle harder than some pot. He got caught and charged 7 separate times before they ever took him to prison. And he's neither a rich man nor a white man, so that didn't play a role. All he had to do to avoid prison time was to stop being a fuck up for a few months while on probation, and he couldn't manage it. My own experiences with the law were similar, although I wasn't a fucking dumbass and I stayed clean and legal until I moved to a state with more favorable laws. In my case, after 6 months of monthly UAs, my charges were completely dropped giving me a clean record. I'm willing to bet that's the case for the vast majority of weed users who get caught, as well.
I think it's okay for one thing to mean many things. It's okay for this to be super inspiring for the world we want to live in where we can just chill and hangout and eat mother nature's best in high end quality and yet be upset about the inequalities perceived. It's okay to ebb and flow, and to allow things like these, beautiful yet unquestionably unfair as they appear to be, to fire us up so that we can create and advocate and step into a world where it's free and fair for all people.
That is just the natural course from prohibition and it being legalized in a capitalist minded system, the problem was never the plant or any other substance, it was the black, latino, indigenous and poor people who used and sold it. The prohibition is a really recent thing in the history of the world and we are just now watching the consequences of it, and it is far from ending I think, we need to keep fighting even with legalization and stuff so this gentrification and elitism doesn´t happen. But it is a much bigger fight if we think it as a capitalist problem as a whole
My theory has always been that the industrial age made us go cold-turkey off of natural terpenes and created a good amount of health issues we have today, and the terpenes that people need the most are based on what they crave, rooted back to where their ancestors originated from environmentally. It all connects
Oh to be one of them around the table - maybe one day i'll be part of something like this. Keep up these great episodes! (even though I'm a year late lol)
I feel like the chef lady. After some time (weeks/months) anxiety kicks in and I have to take a long break (year or so) before being able to enjoy it again. It's so annoying since I do enjoy it from time to time.
Happened to me as well. Anxiety is so crippling and its a shame that most cannabis strains bring it out. I just remember that life's is beautiful and thoroughly enjoy micro-dosing, cooking and smoking full on batons again. I hope you'll find peace with it too!
@Lloyd Martin maybe all strains are just too strong for their own good now. Even if it doesn't generate anxiety immediately, the next day it does, for me anyway. It wasn’t like that in the past, and it's not like I overdid it either. It was always more of a social thing. Maybe one day we'll be able to enjoy it knowing it'll be all good. Maybe I've just got too much on my mind.
I love the creativity of this show, but does the overwhelming taste of cannabis not just destroy any of the finer flavours? I know terpenes exist, and I can understand their role within a certain flavour profile (well, I hope, as I have no experience with them), but from my experience of edibles -- it's just a whole barrage of cannabis in terms of smell and taste. I'd love to know if it's different.
I love these episodes but I think you guys should focus on where all the pot and pot culture is coming from the emerald triangle and do interviews in Eureka, CA or SF cause I feel like the bay area has more stoners than LA
I would love to come out and hang out with you and enjoy all this cool stuff that you do on the show It just be a such a fun experience to hang out with you and just to see what it’s like to be in your shoes doing all this fun stuff
How bloody high you must be by the time you go through the whole menu. There's cannabis washed down with cannabis, and accompanied by smoking it. 🤯 No wonder everything tastes great. 😂
I've watched a few episodes off and on and love what you have done ❤️ 😘 really I've never tried infused food's or drinks for that matter except Gummies . bit I'm willing to give it a try 😋 i love cannabis and it's many applications it's different aromatic tones and flavors thank you wholeheartedly for inviting me to watch your show i sincerely hope to one day try food, drinks and dabs like these 💚😋👍
As a person lucky enough to live in a newly "green" state, there is still a huge stigma around cannabis that I'd like to see go away. I keep my consumption a secret around my circle of friends so I don't have to justify my use. How do we change this? I'd like to see local cannabis caterers that could put on a similar style meal without my friends getting so stoned that it would turn them off. A low dose THC, high CBD cannabis dinner would be a great introduction or reintroduction of cannabis to my professional circle of friends to help tear down the "stoner stigma" of cannabis.
Abdullah Saeed is a legend in his own right. every documentary he’s done is interesting. This fella is going to be the Pakistani-American Trevor McDonald in years time

Mmmmm I wonder if they got the chance to talk about all the people incarcerated for minor weed charges while they were enjoying their meal 🤔 oh The US, you so silly.
@@LaurentIpsum Lol it tastes like shit to you because you’ve never had someone that knows what they’re doing prepare a meal for you. Your High school weed brownies aren’t the same.
@@brandonhicks5459 I know what pot tastes like. I've smoked before, I've had edibles ( amateur and professionally made). I just don't like the way it tastes. Plus, this whole thing sounds kind of pretentious
@@LaurentIpsum I’ll be honest when you have a test kitchen like that you’ll be surprised about the taste with the weed they pair the food with. It’s an experience not just pretentious.
