A Telescope without a dome

Hi Willie, I'm Messala Coimbra and I work at the Pico dos Dias Observatory, located in Brazil. My work is similar to yours and I'm learning a lot from your videos. I'm grateful for that.

When I was a teenager I read a book called “First Light” by Richard Preston, that in some ways focused on the technical aspect of telescopes (in this case, the Hale telescope) that fascinated me. I love your content because you also focus on the nuts, bolts and electronics aspect of telescopes, an aspect of large scale astronomy that is often just glossed over elsewhere.

Willie this was very very interesting, besides that I never knew of this place the mere fact that there is no protection and continue to work is a miracle in many ways, will not try to wright here what astonish me, thanks for sharing
