Me and my friend took a small boat out to sea to scatter his dad's ashes. Now he drifts amongst the currents, breathes with the waves and sleeps in the sands.
@@abdullahsalem1262 fear of the large bodies of or deep water, most commonly the ocean others, myself included, may also include smaller bodies of water where you cant see the bottom such as some ponds lakes and rivers
Fr, I am always curious about this type of content bc I wonder if I will be able to resist what I see or hear and if I will ever overcome it, but I barely see the first image or video and my hands go numb LMFAO
hey this is one of the first steps of exposure therapy. take it as a sign that you are stronger than your fear makes you think you are ^^ and ofc nobody's playlists are awesome, not even fear can make you miss out on one!
@@jungwonneedsadiamondring For me, my resistance depends on what is shown since my thalassophobia is on the milder end; the *surface* isn't what bothers me, it's the depths and the thought of swimming above or within them. If it's just showing the surface of the ocean and/or implying being in a boat, then I'm fine. But take that camera beneath the surface and point it downward, or show someone swimming (especially an image *from below* them) and I get a twist in the guts and a chill down my spine.
Three words: know thy enemy I have terrible entomophobia (fear of insects), particularly vespiphobia (fear of wasps), and I can identify an insect with a glance because I've read so much about the thing I fear. You seek out what you fear because you want to know everything about it so you can best avoid it, or if it comes down to it, fight it off.
I love following Thalassophobic people because they show one of the prettiest images for a Thalassophile, just imagine swimming endlessly through the ocean without a care, unchanging, everlasting, primordial, seren. As if you are one with eternities'' end or at the precipices of life itself. The ancient oceans will outlive us humans but not space though it doesn't mean that life won't flourish again. For nothing is permanent.
Sometimes i find some things very very beautiful that they make me cry One of those things is the ocean itself. It's so deep, so endless and so unknown. Some points don't even get sunlight but there's still life there and i find every creature there very beautiful Thank you for this playlist, it makes my heart literally squeeze in my chest in a weird way
it’s actually nice to hear someone be so passionate about something ☺️ maybe most people just don’t talk about it that much but i sometimes feel like a lot of people miss all the beauty that is around them (hope this doesn’t sound too corny haha). so you appreciating the ocean (and other people appreciating and loving other things) makes me feel hopeful ❤️
I see you commenting on @GregBroDudeMan ‘s channel, so cool to see you taking inspiration! I’ve listened to your channel for years, and your videos have been a wonderful addition to my life. Thank you!!
I have pretty much the opposite of thalassophobia. I've loved the ocean since I was a kid, and I love the deep waters even more. There's just something about it that sticks with you thats difficult to explain.
i love this channel you can always turn a depressed day less more painful than it is, it has been hard for me for a while, but i can always refresh my head listening to your music. thank you
@@overmoods are your earphones that waterproof though? won't recommend doing it either way because bluetooth signals dont travel all that well through water
i used to be a surf lifesaver, and this playlist reminds me of going out on boards on a calm day and just sitting quietly and moving with the swell on my surfboard.
Fun fact: if you were born in 1960 and died in 2017, you would have lived long enough to see every manned mission to outer space, but only the first manned expedition to the deepest known point in the ocean.
wow you've really been pumping these videos out lately! I love them all hahah. I hope though that you are not pushing yourself too hard and are taking lots of time for yourself too
The vastness and unfathomable depths of the ocean freak me out. Those holes to who knows where especially. There's already so much ocean above them then they go so much further down 😖😣
Unsettling. Reminds me of when i was getting into welding and i lived in California at the time and i was strongly encouraged to learn underwater welding once i got good at regular welding and i heavily contemplated my options. Anyway fast forward years later i am now a dog groomer lol.
I'm starting a new job this evening. It will be my first shift of training. I am incredibly nervous and my mind has been catastrophizing and assuming the worst about how the shift will go. It's been nearly debilitating today. I'm slowly allowing myself to get ready, - allowing myself to take it easy while I do so and focus on my breathing. This playlist is so soothing. I have a complicated relationship with the ocean. I fear it in a way, but I also have a major respect for it and deep love and admiration for it as a result. Perhaps that is what makes this playlist so soothing and grounding for me in this moment - I'm leaning into my fear, and refusing to drown even as the ocean depths of my anxiety and fear threaten to consume me. I will endure this. I will not drown.
Ocean Grunge is a music-centric aesthetic that is considered the darker version of Seapunk that started in 2014. This is a playlist based on the ocean, so thalassophobic, it’s making me want to play Davy Jones’ theme on the pipe organ.
There are horrors in the deep mankind not dream of. I cower away from the seas, lest I be dragged into the murky depths by what lurks below, something I hope I shall never know.
Hello, as always your playlists are wonderful. I wanted to ask you, if you could make a playlist dedicated to the Inca culture, the thing is that the playlist you made about the Aztec culture seemed beautiful to me, that's why I wanted to ask you for something similar, it's related to my home and my ancestors. Thank You ❤
And now for something completely different. XD This one's gonna freak me out (didn't *think* I actually had thalassophobia, but I may have been wrong... x_x) That does not mean I'm not listening to it, though. Excellent idea.
The perfect playlist for while perusing the latest art book by Thalasso hobbyer :) For those unaware: he's a creator of hand-sculpted scenes involving exactly this topic. Definitely worth checking out on RU-vid :)
But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too still for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. ~ Alfred, Lord Tennyson "Crossing the Bar"
I don't even think thalassophobia should be a phobia. I don't think there's anything irrational about fearing the ocean. There's some scary shit down there.
29:09 would be the most epic ambient song ever except every 2 seconds there is a weird clicking noise, I tested it on their channel it's also there, that totally ruins the ambient feel, it's too bad because without that annoying click this song would be legendary as far as ambient songs go. Just my 2 cents anyway.
