Tafos got all the knowledge on the game he needs. He just needs some life breathed into his performance, and I think he stiffens up once he leaves the sort of grass roots coziness of the melee scene
Yahoo Esports is one of few channels/sites treating esports just like any kind of sport, what I like. I'll really miss the fighting games content. Hope to see y'all somewhere soon! Hugs from Brazil!
a big warm and loving thanks here from the rif northen morocco, you guys have been my fav source of news about league of legends and i really enjoyed league travis, MarkZ and emely and a big ups to ovilee may
I don't know if anyone will read this, but I remember back in the day I subbed when you guys only had 80 subs. I knew you guys would grow and look at you guys! 50k subscribers. That's really cool. Keep going Travis!! Also you guys have the best interviews.
_Thanks for creating such an amazing platform_ -- going to miss the talented group of men and women that put it all together. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours, and I **can't wait** to see what you've got coming up next. Chin up, and know that there are a ton of fans out there supporting you guys.
Michael Martin for Evo! LOL really though, you guys did such an amazing job and were able to keep things on a nice flow with good content. I constantly watched your videos and can't believe this is really happening. Thank you everyone!
Actually when he got the news the first thing he did while still at his assignment for E-3 was body a pro wrestler with *Kolin.* 'Guy should be the President of the FGC.
Thank you so very much to EE and Tafo for giving smash the spotlight that you both did. I love Esports and this channel was easily the best at showing it. As for the others, I may not have watched all of your videos or read your articles, but if they were a fraction as good as the smash ones, I'm sure they meant as much to their respective fans as mine did to me. Farewell, yahoo esports.
People have speculated that it has to do with the Verizon acquisition of Yahoo. They probably wanted to cut the company down some before they bought it.
I wouldn't worry too much, considering the content, I'm sure most of the staff of Yahoo Esports can easily find a spot on places like Blitz, The Score Esports and Dot Esports. I think a couple of the segments found here would great additions to the there other sites.
thanks for all the work you guys put in! you all had the best esports content on the web and made me care about events and games I don't normally watch. best of luck to all of you and I am looking forward to seeing you all in new places and content! ^^
Thank you for doing all of this , making videos and surely...i will miss this channel...i always found the interviews with all pro-players ( cs:go,smash, lol, dota, hots, overwatch itc.) very entertaning. 😟
All great things must come to an end I guess. Thank you guys so much for giving us such quality content. I watched all the Smash & FGC content on here. I'm extremely sad & caught off guard by this. But again all I can do is thank you thank you thank you. I hope this amazing team lives on in some way.
Me da una pena que esto se acabe, era mi sitio preferido por todo el contenido que se hacia, las entrevistas, los reportajes, los podcast, todo era con una calidad extrema. Os deseo lo mejor a todos. Mucha suerte.
I will miss league weekly and all of the other esports related content. So sad to see you all go. I will follow some of you on personal twitters and/or youtubes, keep it on travis and the team!
TOO SOON, YAHOO ESPORTS. YOU ARE LOST TO US JUST AS YOU ENTERED YOUR PRIME. Thank you to your staff for providing such excellent content. I hope the best for all of them, as I even started watching other Yahoo Esports content unrelated to games I play due to the personalities and quality of presentation.
It sucks that some great esports content barely nets any views. I enjoyed a lot of Yahoo's content. I couldn't help notice the lack of views though. With the huge amount of content already being put out by Riot in the form of analysis, player interviews, and entertainment content, it's hard to see any space out there for 3rd party content to thrive unless it's being driven by star power and memes. Travis once again has to move on. Maybe we can get a revival of "State of the League" talk show?
I really hope some other company sees what an opportunity this is and hires the whole team to continue doing what they do. What a shame this had to come to an end prematurely. Love you guys, especially Travis, Ovilee, and Tafo.
What! These people really grew on me in the past year you know :(. They introduced me to fighting games, a genre I never thought I would care about. I don't play league but I watched their content anyway. This is sad news indeed
Tbh Yahoo Esports is the only thing relating to Yahoo I find interesting You guys are outstanding! Keep up your great work! edit: Wait it's not over is it
Yahoo Esports shutting down is super lame. I loved the content. This channel expanded my knowledge about and involvement in esports from just melee ans smash 4 to the rest of the fgc and the lcs. I'm gonna miss this.
