I already knew from a review that Natalie Haynes' book told stories about the Trojan War from the perspectives of various female characters, but I did not know which ones and was curious to know. The Amazon Queen Penthesilea is not mentioned in the Iliad or Odyssey. We know, because other Ancient writers refer to it, that there was once a short epic about her that has not survived.
