This is the song I couldn't stop playing when my mother passed away. I just saw your video today, and I'd brave crowds to see you perform it live. This was a gift. Thanks you, so much.
This is by far one of my favorite asl videos on youtube, especially of this song. He demonstrated the sound of the music so well, but still so easy to follow and learn by his signs. I'm new at this, but he seems so elegant and clean with his signs. 💛💛💛
I’m just finding this…. Such emotion! I’ve played it over and over. I took sign 40 years ago as I had a deaf boyfriend. I work in a hospital and I’m finding a need for it for the deaf community that comes in. Thank you for this…❤️
OMG, that's the best translation with the best translator anyway. The man is terrific, emotional and no matter what others see in him: he is a wonderful person!
I love your signing and fluency with this song. I learned ASL over 30 years ago. I was a lot rusty and thought I had forgotten a lot. When I saw your video I decided to start learning it again. Since then I have had a chance to interact with a few hearing impaired individuals and helped a woman who was alone in a hospital emergency room communicate with staff until her husband/translator got inside. Thank you for sharing thus video that inspired me to be a better person.
This was so beautiful I’m learning this song for my momma because she loves this song so much I want too surprise her within the next couple of weeks learning this
This was the most beautiful interpretation of a song I've ever seen. Every gesture was filled with so much love that I feel I already know all I need to know about you: the incredible depth of your heart. I am a singer and wish I could SING as well as you!!
I was looking for a way to sign this song with my Kindergarten class. When I came across this video, I couldn't stop watching it. This was so heartfelt and beautiful. Thanks so much. I will only pick out the main words for my little kids but I could watch this a "Thousand" times.
I know thus is very late, but I just saw your comment. While this signing version of the song is perfect and beautiful, if you want to have a version easy to learn for small children, there was one put out by parents who have children with special needs, Downes Syndrome in particular. The video shows the mom and child sitting in a car sign singing this song. It is called 50 moms carpool karaoke - A thousand years. It is not ASL but a sign language they use to communicate with their children. It is out of the UK. Only the 'important' words are signed instead of every single word. The signs are simple and are different than the signs used in ASL. Hope thus helps. I think it is a fantastic thing to do with small children. It teaches them so much more than simply singing a song. It helps them understand others around them and it develops fine motor skills as well.
On its own, I can´t say that I like the song THAT much...but seeing it done in sign language, even though I don´t understand it, it adds a whole new layer to the song and makes it incedibly beautiful... Very nicely done :)
I'd love if you checked out my Thousand Years ASL video as well! Your facials were absolutely stunning, by the way! I loved the way you showed the music before the song even started!
Kaytlyn Trentham hey I subscribe to your channel and btw canmu pls do walls by ruben? ASL plx!!!! Bc I love that song and if u do it thx but if u don't that's fine 😊
I watched your Jar of Hearts video a few months back, I literally just sat and watched it over and over and over...I LOVE your passion when you sign songs!
I can't stop listening to this song... This is so beautifull in every emotional way possible... Me and my future to be wife, are going to use the instrumental version for are wedding opening in church
I have never met you but I felt this song. I listened and watched your video a few times and still gives me goosebumps and tears. Visiting my Grandma-In-Law on her death bed yesterday brought so much memories I had with my own grandparents... I felt like watching this video made me feel closer to them.... I know that sounds so corney and cheesy... Thank you!
This was our wedding song. My husband and I have never seen the movie. We both believe in reincarnation and truly believe we've been together many many life times.
after I go to school for it; I will probably do a whole channel of ASL songs. until then I continue with my own style; which is more SE Signed English.
