Ross & Rachel remained friends for 7 years after they "broke up" and in that time period they didn't realize that they were on the right track. They are supposed to be together. They needed that seven year break to prepare them for what was to come for them; a marriage and all the realities of such an alliance.

We all feel sorry for Frasier Crane whom was supposed to marry Diane on Cheers and Emily whom was supposed to and technically did get married to Ross but the marriage did not last. I keep on imagining what if David Schwimmer was credited as a special guest star in a handful of season 5 episodes because Ross actually did agree to Emily's ultimatum. That would be an alternate version of season 5 and Ross comes back in time for season 6 because of, you guessed it, another DIVORCE!
Seriously FRIENDS, is the base of all series that we're watching today. There have been many attempts to immitate Ross and Rachel's love story, unsuccesfully, and in my opinion there won't be another story that's that amazing. FRIENDS is unique, it can't be compared to no other series, and there is a reason it will be the top one for ever. No other show has ever been close to this, and i'm not talking about Ross and Rachel only(best love story)... Every thing about this show is amazing.

They deserved a wedding in the show they should have if just gotten together when they had there baby that was the perfect moment and the ending should of been another big story line like pheobe and joey get together or something else
Maybe if joey and phoebe got together it would be too tidy and perfect and maybe somewhat predictable. Phoebe should have been with Mike and Joey could have found someone else. Phoebe and Joey really didn't have any chemistry.
The thing with phoebe and joey not happening was purely financial. The showmakers needed another cash cow after something as big as the friends. They tried in the spin-off “joey” but that didn’t work out
Coming from a guy, no matter how manly you feel or how macho you wanna try to be, if you watched friends, and saw this vid, you'd still cry, even if its just inside. Its just fictional characters, but the story is just unbelievably heartwarming.

I am watching Friends for the first time (although because it's so popular I basically know the plot going in) and this made me realize it's going to be a feels-fest and I just sat and stared at my computer and screamed, "NO. No, no, NO." I am going to absolutely love this. On a side note, I found my lobster, and I am never, ever letting go. I feel like I am seeing my boyfriend and I whenever I look at Ross and Rachel together

You completely showcased that as true as the "It's always been you, Rach." quote is for Ross, it's equally true to say "It's always been Ross" for Rachel as well. Please, sit down and watch them all. I remember, I was putting it off all summer long ( 3 months ago ) and finally, I decided I'm gonna watch it (I had to online) and I FELL IN LOVE not even before the 10th episode. It's freaking HILARIOUS and amazing I bet you it's the cure to breast cancer.
