33:25 In case anyone’s wondering what the dialogue is leading to, it was mainly referencing Bully For You (The 3rd PVZ Graphic Novel), which featured The Anti-Bully Squad attempting to ruin everything Zomboss has become since he left College, since Zomboss bullied all three of them while they were all in college. To this end, The Anti-Bully Squad tried to get Zomboss’ Thanatology Degree revoked (Which Zomboss did actually steal the Thesis he used to earn said degree, it was originally written by a zombie named Pokey Piquenose, called Just Step to the Left: The Getting Over the Tall-Nut Problem), stealing Zomboss’ Army from him (By giving the Zombies in the army better accommodations & generally treating them better than Zomboss ever did), & ruining his dream of conquering Neighborville by conquering it themselves (Done after the Zombies got a college education at Zombie University: The Institute for the Higher Learning of Low Deeds, but it only made the zombies marginally smarter than they were before, given the lack of brains). In the Anti-Bully Squad were Greg Gantuar (A more civilized Gargantuar with a pet Zombie Hedgehog named Mr. Stubbins), Stilts the Imp (An Imp wearing Stilts to make up for their lack of height), & Mr. Grim-Bim (A normal Zombie in a Trench Coat & a Fedora). Another reference in this was the Unmeltable Ice Cream, which Crazy Dave invented in the Subplot of the same Graphic Novel, & ultimately was the reason they beat Zomboss after he got his army back (He had been using a Mini-Imp Powered Heat Ray, which he used to escape captivity from the Anti-Bully Squad, they made a wall of Peanut Butter & Jelly Unmeltable Ice Cream, which the Heat Ray was useless against)
Typical plant dev talk time: For 7, you were meant to use the sun shrooms as meat shields to tank all-star charges, otherwise they would slip past the flame tiles. Feel like that would have been better conveyed if they were wallnuts or just another wall that died to all star since sun shroom does imply they´re useless when they arent. They do also help with stalling MC and protecting Melon Pult. As for 8, which was my level this time around, definitely an acquired taste and the only reason it ended up here was because I was a fan of the level concept at first, before realizing it was an absolute BITCH to code and design, having to factor so many tiny details and shit (like zombies having very slight delays in when they would approach making it where you something ended up with a zombie taking a mower) that made it a chore to balance and design. Probably would have cut it entirely myself if I had known how stupid it would have been to work on it, but you live and learn I guess. In my head it felt like a good representation of modern day´s chaos but in practice it ended up, well, as a mess LOL Dont think it´ll return in the future because of it and the general reception just sucking especially as theres no ways to make it work without outright completely switching the premise around to cater for a shorter, more enjoyable experience. In general this LTE taught us a lot of what people liked, disliked and generally looked forward to in a thymed event. Obviously we wont be able to please everyone, thats a given, but this LTE in particular felt very experimental for us in what we could get away with, what we SHOULDNT be doing in these levels, and the general vibes, goals and ambitions for LTEs that we need to strive for, and im glad that experimentation paid off, for better or worse. Its sure to make whats coming even better!
Extra notes I forgot: - For level 12 dont think a trex would have worked in every wave because you needed to factor the potato mine arming time. - Level 13 is actually 3 different levels with the same gimmick, only variating in the zombies that you need to defeat! Its a very neat concept. Also you can thank our beloved KrisJ for bringing back the time swap transition. Bro somehow figured out how to use it in beghouled. Impressive stuff. Also they´re timed to the match count. - Big Brainz is kind of an ironic joke amongst us now. Its the dumbest event, hence why we wanted to give it something neat to stand out with, that being the puzzles. Last years was only regular levels because it was our first fully handmade LTE, which meant there wasnt much room for us to be able to make something different or new from the norm because there WAS no norm established yet. Due to the overall reception next year might be different yet again. Who really knows currently though! Thats the joy of experimentation.
While some of the harder levels require countless resets and frustration, I somewhat appreciated the ideas that goes on behind these levels, figuring out the second last answer of lvl 11 bring me immense satisfaction. I wish you guys also have a great time growing as game devs and level designers.
hey plants10000, i have a question if you or any other level creator made a level that sparks controversy within the community, is said level creator immediately to be fired out from developer team or will this constitute strikes and after receiving total of specific amount of strikes, will they be fired?
I gotta admit, even though some levels are quite annoying cuz I had to replay the whole thing when I guess the wrong solutions, this event is still one of the most creative events ever in RFL and in PvZ 2 generally. Looking forward for other events in the future ❤️
42:42 Well Puzzle are kinda like quiz where you must spend you brain much harder to solve (so that you brain could get “big”) , that’s why Big Brainz Thymed Event is now a Puzzle Party.

what you were supposed to do with the Neon Tour vase breaker was that you were supposed to use the sun shrooms to stop the all star and then use the hot date to lure him into the fire tile lane (if needed)
this is an awesome concept for a Thymed Event, the team is working hard and so are you!! i also noticed the costume for Shadow-Shroom (around 3:09), looks like it's based off the Triple-Fried Galactic Shwaffle from Splatoon 2!
this event is definitely Big Brainz event and i am NOT Big brain, i didn't like it nor i like it i have mixed opinions. I appreciate how creative the puzzles were really makes sense for event to have puzzles when it's called "Big Brainz" You may cheated in level 11 but i don't blame you i cheated too i ask others to help me, i appreciate everyone who helped me in this event. BTW level 10 final dialogue is reference to meme about guy playing pvz1 and encounters catapult zombie in the roof and says "don't worry i will handle it" and used the "angry pumpkin" squash is the angry pumpkin.
Level 7 you use the sun shrooms for the all stars… I personally love all these levels, especially 11 and the I zombie one, the only one that was just ok was the one you said was king, which I agree with but I don’t think it was bad. Maybe if they did it with 3 very hard waves but you get to also place plants the first time it would work better
26:25 you where supposed to plant the sun shrooms on the column 2 minecarts to stop allstars and hot date on the column 3 minecart so that it can avoid mc mics
3:40 This is makes shadow shroom easily one of the most broken plants in the mod, mostly due to the poison lasting for infinite. If you plant food it, and plant food it again, it can kill ANYTHING! That is so stupidly powerful for a plant that cheap with a fast recharge.
I need to vent. These videos made me want to get reflourished to try it out and despite doing EVERYTHING the toturial said, my phone refuses to allow me to move obb files despite troubleshooting for 2 hours and looking at 7+ tutorials. I am beyond pissed I can't experience such an amazing mod because of my fucking phone. Edit: I am now able to play reflourished after essentially raping the security features.
@@pedromartins6810 it's kinda just that simple, I had your problem too but then I downloaded total commander and apparently it just doesn't care about what the operating system has to say because it allowed me to move OBBs when I normally couldn't. ZArchiver should work too but try using commander first, it *should* work without issues
@@pedromartins6810 make sure to give them all the permissions they ask for. I know it sounds scary but those 2 apps are very trustworthy, plus you could always delete them after you're finished if you still think they're sus

Level 13's Objective seems to be random for which world's Zombies it uses as when i played it, it was Wild West Zombies instead of Neon Mixtape Tour. Also yea Level 11 sucked I just gave up and used Power Ups
31:44 Oh yeah, that level nearly made me quit the event. These type of levels would benefit sooo much from "replay from last round" option. Trying to solve each individual round is fun. Having to replay them all from the beginning everytime you mess up is HELL FUCKING NOT.
tip (if needed): for the level 13 the zombies change with holidays, each 15 matches, you change the holidays (and the holidays are not random/are alway the same)
I personally did not have much of a fun time with this event. First off, in level 3 I didn't realize that you needed to wait for the pokra to shoot it's projectiles. This made me waste a large amount of time thinking that the roto was a red herring. And from what I can tell, no one else had this struggle Level 5 was fine except for 2 deaths from rng (or I could just be bad, who knows). I found level 8 to be ok because I was already used to restarting multiple times, but I understand why others would hate it. For me, the worst was def level 11. Not only did I get completely dumbfounded on the carrot wave, but also the top football mech on wave 2 would just completely avoid the primal potato mine, forcing me to micro it at the start of the wave. And in the 4th wave, the jester would completely miss with the orange ball 90% of the time Level 12 was poorly telegraphed causing me to restart twice due to a misunderstanding that was not my fault And finally, level 13, just like level 5, felt like rng. Zombies would pile up in the same lane for some reason, resulting in multiple deaths So overall, not a fun event
Honestly I like this idea, but making 13 unique levels was probably overkill. I think 5 good puzzle levels would have been enough, and maybe 5 regular ones to break the monotony.
He quit these levels due to how ferocious and ruthless the challenges are, especially challenges like "Triad Of Genesis" are extremely painful to beat and just bad with immersive density. Because he has spent so many times on these levels, he quit it.

What are you on about? The only thymed event I actually disliked was this year's Children's Day. This one had some bad levels, but it had more good than bad.
One thing I have to doc rf on is how much content it rips from pvz2c. They should make more completely new things like flame weed instead of just adding another gem plant or more pvz2c content
the whole point of the mod is reimagining content released after official Modern Day, including pvz2c content also tf does "doc" even mean in this context?
