I love Christmas and this book. I have not heard this edition yet, but I do own it on audible. My favorite adaptation might be The Muppets Christmas Carol - it has great songs and a wonderful performance by Michael Caine!
Favorite adaptation is hard to pick. Alistair Sims is my favorite classic Scrooge. George C. Scott and Patrick Stewart are tied for adaptations done in my lifetime. LEAST favorites are "An American Christmas Carol" with Henry Winkler, and "Scrooged" with Bill Murray. Best animated for me is Jim Carrey's version.
Yes but a lot of the more recent adaptations - especially the kid friendly ones - have focused less on the ghost part more on the "live characters" ...a ghost story has a different feel than a story with ghosts to me...
