A Timelapse of Cats in a Sunspot 

This is 2 hours of footage condensed down to 4 minutes of the cats in a sunspot. I slowed down the video to normal speed on two occasions. Once to show you an interaction between Cleo and Abby at 0:19 and secondly to show you an interaction between Cleo and Athena at 2:09 💝💝💝💝💝

What I've learned from this is that your door needs a bigger window.

Cats were solar powered way before cars.

Must be nice to just sit in a sunny spot all day and now have to worry about literally anything ever.

I feel like during the timelapse segments it looks like the cats start to realize the sunspot is moving away from them and they're indignant about it. Best timelapse I've ever seen.

In 1989, my father finally splurged on the $1000 VCR tape camcorder he'd been coveting. Being the weirdo he is, he decided to set the camera to record one full second every 30 seconds.... and focused in on our cat lying in a patch of sun against the back fence. In the foreground is our parrot in its cage. When the earthquake, during the world series, hit, dad got 2 full seconds. (or three) before the power went out. He got the cat cleaning itself, nonchalant, NOT predicting an earthquake. Songbirds in the background were, also, nonchalant. The parrot as well. Then we get the first microseconds of the quake, bird falls with a squawk to the bottom of the cage, cat looks with suspicion at the fence that suddenly thwacked it on the buttocks, and you can hear (A) the roar of the earth grinding, (B) the sounds of human screams, (C) Shattering glass, and finally (D) the sound of crumbling brick structures.

They are such adorable cats! Also, I love to see time-lapse videos that show the movement of the sun. Based on the fact that the vertical movement is much more pronounced than the horizontal, it’s obvious to me that this video was taken at a relatively low latitude.
