I'm a fan of pixel art in mobile games...also a fan of SRPGs...so this game is a no brainer for me to give a shot. AFK Journey is getting really stale rn, waiting for season 2 to see if rate up banners improve, as that is my biggest gripe rn, aside from some of the season systems. Really curious to see if this game might necome my new main game on mobile. Things are definitely looking promising, fingers crossed.
Worried about this too. It’s nice that there hasn’t been much if any powercreep, and 2% legendary rate is nice unless it’s consolidated, but 40 pulls with 180 pity is pretty stingy
~25% to hard pity and ~40% to hard pity… with little to no reason to pull dupes AND (as i understand it) a number of free Legendaries (albeit not meta) given to all players. Honestly, I don’t think it seems all that bad. 180 is a daunting number, sure… but there’s not ACTUALLY that much difference between this system and virtually every other gacha out there. In the worst case scenario, it’s a difference of about 20 pulls. The real kicker being it sounds like you can whiff on the 50/50 multiple times consecutively, which… honestly wouldn’t feel great, but if your luck has you failing a coin toss 3 times consecutively on a given day, that same luck is probably taking you to 160 pulls in whatever other gacha you play. Anyway, I mean no disrespect. Just expressing my own perspective and hopefully sharing some optimism. Hope you end up enjoying the game and have luck in your pulls.
@@CGT37 I mean that’s kind of the problem, right? It’s slightly behind the pack on pity, way behind the pack on free pulls at launch, and it’s on an accelerated path to catch up to the original server. 20 extra pulls to pity and not having a guarantee after the first 50/50 loss could be fine in a vacuum, but all of these issues compound each other to make a system that’s substantially worse than games where the monetization already gives me pause.
@@amyyost7022 could potentially compound on one another to create a substantially worse system. By your own admission, there seems to have been little if any power creep on the TW side. From previews, it appears that PVP incentives are nearly negligible. And unless the accessibility and/or difficulty curve of Spiral is a much different beast than is presented in the demo, I really can’t see much reason to worry too much. But I’ve long since stopped being a competitive player. I don’t have enough time and I wasn’t very good at most games I played anyway. lol My current biggest worry is that dailies/events are going to eat up an exorbitant amount of time. The only real way to gauge if a problem is brewing is to just play and give it a few months to cook, right? So why feel any kind of way about it? Also, I think it’s fair to mention most advertised “free pulls at launch” in recent memory have actually been more like “available pulls at launch”. Maybe you’re competitive? Maybe a collector? Both? I’m genuinely curious. Also, is it known if single banner units are added to the standard pool or if they’re limited? Sorry if I’m rambling. Just enjoying the pre-reroll chat. 😁
