Gamers: the PS5 Pro price is INSANE! 😡 Also gamers: I'd love to see the successor to the Xbox Series X come with: a 16 core CPU; at least 32GB RAM, though 48 or 64GB would be better; a GPU with at least 16GB VRAM and capable of true 8K at locked 60FPS, and 4K at 120FPS; oh and 8TB of storage ideally. Oh and I expect it to be around $500 max! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jesus christ. I cant with the gaming media. Sony shuts down concord after 2 weeks, raises the price of the dualsense controller and absolutely botches the ps5 pro reveal; but the video title is "tough week for xbox"? What the hell?😂
Sony raising prices is supposed to make us feel good about Xbox cutting jobs? When Concord devs get fired is that supposed to make us feel better about Xbox doing the same?
@@FoxbatStargazer that’s not what he’s saying, he’s pointing out how disingenuous the title of the video is. PlayStation has had a waaaay worse week than Xbox for the reasons the OP stated above, yet the title of the video is “tough week for Xbox” because of some corporate layoffs that didn’t even involve devs. Can you not see the hypocrisy and clear bias here?
The PS5 Pro cost 950 euro if you include it with a Disc Drive and Vertical stand. These prices are madness. I paid 499 for my Series X and PS5. The PS5 Pro is almost double that.
I think there's some history that gives us some clues as to how GTA6 will address legacy and aging platforms. Recall that GTA, along with several other franchises, would often have related but not direct ports, on machines like the Nintendo and Sony handhelds. The better of these games were good enough to justify their existence on their own merits and were not just cut-down cash grabs. In several instances, games created for the PSP and GBA, and later DS, would get ports to obsolete platforms that were still strong in the more price sensitive markets. This gave the PS2 a remarkably long lifespan. The same approach could easily be used to take advantage of the massive installed base of console still in active use that cannot support a worthwhile version of the core GTA6. The Switch and PS4, perhaps even Xbox One, if the XBL numbers are favorable to making the added investment of a port from PS4, would receive a game set in the universe of GTA6, a GTA6 Gaiden, focusing on supporting character's own stories. The existing GTAV engine would likely be used on the PS4 and Xbox. The same game would likely be for Switch II, which is expected to be at least comparable to the previous settop generation. Switch I would be a big challenge but there has been some amazing ports done in pursuit of that large market.

Has it? The business is pulling in over 20 billion a year now and is like the biggest gaming company in terms of sheer size now. There's a difference between us not like what a company is doing and it failing. It should be remembered corporations don't exist for our benefit. Though personally I've not had any major problem with what Xbox has done. Especially compared to Sony. I don't overly care too much if more people can play a game made by people who certainly don't even know my name.
A COO is a four legged animal in Scotland commonly known as a Cow but Glaswegins say Coo or Coos. It can also be used when talking about a horrible woman.
If it was a tough week for Xbox then explain why i've been Enjoying MW3, Starfield, Riders Republic etc.. on Xbox Game Pass? My week was great on Xbox.
2500 job losses this year alone, more studio closures than they've released games this generation, gametrash stagnant £600 for a series done with zero upgrades, because the donebox division can't afford them, I think it's going bust lmfao
Thing is though, the PS5 Pro is NOT giving us 4k @ 60fps. It has AI upscaling to give the IMPRESSION of 4k. But even with these latest upgrades it's definitely not capable of rendering most modern games at an internal resolution of 4k. I'm not sure that anything but the highest end PC can do that.
Okay so I've found it really interesting how badly gaming outlets have painted Xbox's Zenimax and ABK acquisitions purely because they all act like they don't fundamentally understand what an aquistion is. I'm not saying I expect them to like or approve of acquisitions (they the same outlets did certainly paint it as exciting when it happened), but to at least not act surprised every five seconds. Like okay, ABK and Zenimax were very very mature corporations. Both had their investors and were run by a board of a directors and shareholders (in the case of ABK) who thought they had grown as much as they could and wanted to get out especially during a downturn in the market. So what were the options? They could just liquid their assets entirely or sell (either parts of the company or all of it). Microsoft and Xbox offered an opportunity to purchase both corporations in their entirety. The thing I don't see being easily understood, is that overall this WAS a sign of the market shrinking. Microsoft acquiring Zenimax and later ABK is going to be a significantly smaller corporations as one entity than they would be separately just added together. That's just reality. But there was never a good outcome for Zenimax and ABK when they had already decided they were going to sell to someone. This wasn't a hostile takeover. They didn't see how to grow in the gaming industry anymore and when a company can't see growth they downsize. For Xbox it's a great business move because in this downturn that the gaming industry is facing they were able to massively grow in a short span of time and they see better continued growth utilizing the assets Zenimax and ABK provide. However the boards, investors, and heads of both the other companies didn't see growth in their future so they just happily wanted a payout. And heck, Zenimax was trying to sell to EA before. EA nearly bought Zenimax. Let that soak in. I say that because this round of layoffs is such nothing news. Even the former really bad studio closures should have been more expected that they were. At the end of the day Xbox shutdown a mobile game studio that wasn't doing well, an offshoot of a better studio that was originally just support and has only since had two games to their name one of which was really really bad (and there were a lot of internal issues), merged a support studio with the larger studio it was supporting, and tried to close their singular SINGULAR studio in the east which had good performance with their latest game but was in general difficult to support as an American company (it makes sense and I'm glad it was sold to a different publisher). Only one of those I ever even cared about and all of them made sense (though I am of the opinion Xbox needs Japanese studios, they first need strong management and support in Japan). Again I'm not saying this is good or bad, but rather that it's one 1) interesting how surprised these supposed knowledable journalists act with it and 2) it's equally surprising how we have tried to put morals on this. Like it's not like Microsoft bought a private company or indie dev studio and screwed them over. They bought very VERY mature corporations who... people didn't like to begin with. This wasn't a hostile take over either. Zenimax prior was floundering. It's them who forced the creation of fallout 76 to get the live service money and rushed it out and they wanted Redfall to be even worse as a Microtransactions heavy live service game that came out like a year earlier than Xbox let it get delayed to. ABK doesn't really need words for how much everyone hated them and how big they had gotten. So like what was the implication, these corporations should have liquidated and killed their IP, sold parts to different companies and split their devs and IP, or somehow continued growing through scummy means we also hate? Microsoft gets no goodwill from me, but I don't envy their PR team. I mean take Indiana Jones. That game was pitched prior to the purchase and MS had to renegotiate the deal for any exclusivity. When that came out gaming outlets were pissed (they were pissed at the prospect of any Zenimax game not going to PS in the future). Then Indiana Jones announced as coming to the PS5 after short exclusivity and they were pissed that the game wasn't exclusive. And again what's interesting is I didn't see any mention that the game started as multiplatform or that MS had to convince Disney for any timed exclusivity in a new deal (which can't be easy given how many PS console users there are and how much money Disney would lose not selling to them). So while I don't care too much about whether people see MS as positive or negative, I am frustrated in how gaming outlets report on them. I don't see any actual journalism going on of discovering the facts or providing intelligent commentary. It's all so surface level and warped.
I hate that people complains about missing day one games in gamepass standard, like dude, it's obvious they want you to buy the game. Then you get mad when Sony fanbois calls you for not buying games.
Not really. The PS5 Pro isn't expected to be a big seller: they'd only expect going forwards for about 10% of sales to be for that version and won't make any new inventory if it doesn't sell well. And Concord could easily be re-released as free-to-play with microtransactions and DLC to recoup some costs. Or they could re-skin the game and release it under a new brand
@@bandanna2388 I'm just being realistic. How about on the other-side all the "Concord's failure and the PS5 Pro price show Sony is DOOMED TO FAIL, they are going to crash and burn like Sega did" comments? Yeah, a company that made $8.6bn profit last year is going to fail because of one failed game and a console they don't expect to be a big-seller anyway 🤣
@@dftfire if they continue with these scummy practices and release any more Concord-like disasters…then yeah they will crash and burn. Sony does this all the time, they become arrogant, and they get burned badly for it. Happened with the PS3.
@@bandanna2388 The PS3 which by the end of its life had still sold a few million more units than the 360? (And which sold more than the OG Xbox, the Xbox One, and as of now, has sold about four times as many units as the current S and X?) Gee, what a massive fail 🤔
MS failed in the console business, but even after they are out Sony still has to be somewhat careful. Another company could jump into the opportunity to compete and take attention away from Playstation.
Nintendo has shown over several generations that horse power is not number one. Also, it amazes me regarding the negative press of the series S and how it's holding things back. There are still games supporting the PS4!?! Do you want to compare PS4 and Series S hardware?!?!
A tough week for the employees would be more accurate. Xbox itself and the games are pretty much unaffected. I think Sony had the worst 2 weeks probably since the PSN hack back in the PS3 days.
I paid 350.00 for my Xbox series X last Christmas when it was on sale. But with the price of the new Playstation 5 Pro 700.00 without a disc drive is just too much. If Sony would add in the disc drive and stand would make more appealing to buy. I have to have backwards compatiabily console I have a lot of Xbox and Playstation games. I think I would just go with the Playstation 5 slim maybe go on sale when the Playstation 5 Pro comes out. Maybe it's time to just switch to PC with the price of consoles. And with the games that came out have been garbage. Thanks for great video.
I also here if cod doesn't get big numbers for gametrash i hear its not looking good, closing down permanently good and considering people that play cod buy it there not going to pay £240 a year for that its absolutely shite more hackers cheats than normal players and thats just the beta

The 'What about isms?' and Xbox fanboy denial/Microsoft corp. simping is boring. Regardless of what's going on the Sony PlayStation side, it still doesn't solve how terrible and STILL a sinking ship the Xbox is and that Microsoft/Gamepass are the root of it all.

It your own fault for thinking they care about you, and" you people still believe in Phil; you won't blame him for anything, nope" you blame Sony for everything. MS doesn't care because you don't call them out.
I don’t own a PlayStation 5, I do own an Xbox series X and I plan on replacing it with the PlayStation 5 Pro. I doubt I alone. Even if the promise of xtra performance never adds up to the fact of the higher price, it’s still a motivation for people who already wanted to change console companies but just hadn’t pulled the trigger yet.
@@pedromartinez-xt7yeThe Series S maybe, but the Series X is more-powerful than the PS5 (base). Not that it manifests into much difference in most AAA titles though
@@ariamoy91 lol Sony made a new version of their console with newer tech while Xbox hasn’t yet. This is such an unfair comparison. Series X is more powerful than Ps5, and if Xbox ever made a Pro model (which they shouldn’t because they’re unnecessary) it would very easily overpower the PS5 Pro.
