To be fair in that clip it's a non-canon story with a weaker flash. In actual DC canon the flash has raced superman multiple times, but there's a pretty famous panel where flash says those races were for charity so he's always gone easy and then immediately laps him. That said A-Train and the Flash are different characters entirely as are Superman and Homelander. Not super fair to compare those characters to their original counterparts and their relative speeds to each other. I actually think Homelander can keep up with A-Train but the writers are ultimately gonna go with however they feel.
@@HighCHD If we are talking about flash vs super man it really depends on the version. Plus the plot armor flash honestly the most busted character in dc. With accelerated thought and his normal speed no one should really be able to hit him even super man. Hence why his villein zoom has beaten super man a lot of times
@@rances4418 realistically with all barry’s abilities that have been displayed, he should be able to destroy every character in the justice league without any issues.
A-Train is not just super speed. He is immensely strong physically. He has immense super strength. Keep in mind he was able to pull a whole train with weakened bones and heart problems.
@@A-trainTheBlueBlur that’s what I’ve BEEN saying. People are acting like a train doesn’t have a realistic chance against homelander and all the other members of the seven. Realistically a train should solo everybody in the seven. The only person he should have problems with is homelander but even THEN he is capable. Most of the times people don’t wanna give a train any credit because 1. He’s shown very bad traits and evil moments in the show 2. They most likely withhold giving him credit because he’s a black superhero in the boys. With that being said A train is on a path to redemption but many fans of the boys series don’t wanna admit that…
Step 1: A-Train frees Soldier Boy from coma. Step 2: A-Train provokes Soldier Boy into charging his radiation beam Step 3: A-Train moves Soldier Boy next to Homelander with super speed, while SB is still charging. Step 4: A-Train escapes and comes back after the explosion to kill the now powerless Homelander. Step 5: A-Train uses Superspeed to move Soldier Boy back into his coma cell and becomes the new leader of the seven. Can't stop the A-Train, baby🗿

to be fair, if A-train v. Homelander goes the way of Red Rush v. Omni-Man, then A-train could maybe break a few ribs, and that would seriously freak Homelander out. he’s probably never sustained an injury that serious in his life. perfect time to have a few more supes gank him
Homelander’s been injured before Maeve stabbed his ear and he kinda just brushed that off. And Homelander’s ears work just as good as before he might have a limited healing factor really

As soon as Hughie forgave A-Train I was convinced he was gonna die this season. His beef with Hughie is too important, once it gets resolved he's done for.

@@kushj9568 she seems to have the baseline strength and durability all supes get but yes her actually main “spark” power seems to either just be very weak or undeveloped. Potentially she could be like Jubilee from the x men but firecracker hasn’t shown anything close to her level.

Sigh... yeah, we know, but it doesn't make it any less pleasant. Also, the matchup has an underrated aspect that if A-Train were to run away and use guerilla tactics, Homelander could just kill people he cares about cause Homelander only cares about Ryan at this point while A-Train has "a lot to lose" by comparison. That said, if A-Train played it smart and took a support role, this mofo could be a monster. Like, imagine if Homelander says "time to die" and A-Train just runs to his apartment and takes every single vial of V and just distributes it to every one Homelanders worst enemies and competitors. Like yeah, super speed won't win you a lot of fights, but man it'd be cool if they showed that it *will* win you wars.

Homelander wins but... Homelander ain't Superman, not close. A-Train is way faster than Homie. Holmes can fly fast but not move fast. It would come down to A-Train hurting Homelander but never injuring him. A-Train could avoid anything Homelander does but eventually get tired and then die after one hit connects.
@@Layer-v5h that doesn't change the fact that homelander saved butcher from a F*CKING bomb that just went off homelander may not be as fast as A-train but are we going to pretend hes not fast at all and again it boils down to the story like yeah obviously homeladner could evade and should have soilder boys attacks but they wanted drama and keep the plot going its like the flash loosing to ice raygun cold man and an aussie boomerang drunk
@EthanHi-du7wp That was more Homelander absorbing the majority of the blast than speed. That was exactly why Butcher was unconscious for hours, he was concussed from the blast!. Recalls Homelander was standing in front of the bomb. A-Train would have actually ran Butcher miles away. That also why A-Train was able to save the dude in the air ducts, Homelander had no idea of what the heck happened.
Something people don't realize is that, an speedster by default should have unbelievably high resilience. To be able to stand every single piece of sand or pebble not annihilating them as they run, for example a train's top speed is said to be 3000 mph, that's 1000 mph faster than a 50 cal meaning a stationary rock as he runs is basically a heavy round bullet to him Plus the amount of friction and heat his muscle and organs endure, he should stand a heat vision blast for a good while
Yeah speedsters by default also have Super durability. Otherwise they would kill themselves instantly. In season 1 it was said that A-Train was getting decreased bone density as a side effect of his Compound V abuse, which is why Kimiko was able to break his leg with relative ease. This doesn’t make sense though, as his bones could still handle running at Super speed.
yes. if he is literally strong enough to *run through somebody* he can probably shortly tank the heat vision. but most high tier supes are actually quite durable; maeve can stand still through an armored truck, invisible cunt can withstand pretty much anything from outside, etc.
@@wallflower1999fastest man alive on the ground. Homelander can fly substantially faster than a-train. However his perception speed and reaction times appear to be slower than a-train’s.
I played the boys game on roblox, Asstrain vs Homolander, you know what Homolander always does? He flies 2 feet off the ground and lasers him while Asstrain runs in circles🤣
best scene in ep 6 imo: when a train drops MM at the hospital and the kid looks at him and sorta makes him feel like a genuine hero, I really fucking hope a train does not die
A train has really good feats, punching Kimiko through 2 walls, dodging starlights blasts which were light speed, running through Robin, pulling a whole ass train while having a fractured bone, killing bluehawk with a weakened heart. Also his leg was broken due to the Compound-V making his bones weaker. He has the potential to give homelander a hard time.
@triggerkingz8252 1.kimiko broke A-train leg in one hit 2. When a-train was dodging, starlight light blasts, he literally got a heart attack, which means he can't go light speed for long periods of time before getting a heart attack 3. A-train pulled an entire train while homelander has thrown entire planes with one hand without breaking a sweat in the comics. 4. Also, killing bluehawk is not an impressive feat homelander has killed blacknoir in one hit, and blacknoir has taken entire buildings exploding, getting beaten by soldier boy and getting attack by other sups and blacknoir is stronger than A-train 5. Homelander has fought soldier boy and had the upper hand. Homelander has fought bigger and badder. A-train won't really do any real damage to homelander. A great example of what will happen if A-train and homelander fight is red-rush vs. omniman, and we all know what happens
@@Ok47the3 Hey, just a reminder that agasint starlight, he got a heart attack because of the compound V intake. he never moved at light speed, but he saw where starlights hands where going before the blast. don't use comics for the series scaling, homelander on TV is much weaker and more fragile. While A-train is weaker and less durable, he still is in the A class of supes in terms of physical attributes, not only this, his reaction speed matches his combat and travel speed, so HL can't really follow him mid combat, otherwise he would've dodge all soldier boy and butcher punches
Red Rush's chest barrage actually put Omni into cardiac arrest which shut off his healing factor, Omni only survived that fight because Cecil did everything he could to save him. He can hold his breath for two weeks but had to use that strength fighting off the other Guardians instead of healing up his heart. Red Rush carried that shit until Omni Man woke up from his coma a week later.
That's what I was thinking too, Red Rush definitely did more damage to Omni-man than any other single hero, even Invincible in the S1 finale couldn't do that much
@jacobp249 , he did more damage than the rest of S1 combined. Kinetic energy still goes clean through invincible walls. Red Rush lived as a human but died on a Viltrumite's level.
Yeah A train could not withstand getting hit by an armored truck like Maeve. With the right set-up I could see an epic fight though. Maybe he could use his speed to wield a weapon dependent on speed and inertia. Like imagine A-Train using a depleted Uranium Thunderball from watchdogs 2.
@@kishiberohan4038 According to real life physics, A-train would definetly win against homelander and punch way harder than Maeve. Kinetic energy, impulse and impact force. But from show lore he will loose.
Nah,they only store a chance last season because soldier boy is probably 2nd place in terms of strength to homelander, and the boys couldn’t defeat soldier boy
Or more funnily, the hesitant non violence seeker Black Noir 2.0 kills A-Train after he wants to make a deal with him to let him go. So BN 2.0 can earn his wings so to speak and embrace being a member of the Seven.
A-Train could do what Maeve did with that metal pipe in the ear except like 30 in 3 seconds. We haven't seen Homelander with fast reaction times like Superman, so I'd believe it.
Homelander’s reaction time is absolutely terrible. The thing about Superman is that he’s fast both on the ground and in the air whereas Homelander is only fast in the air/when he’s flying.

I think a missed opportunity was making a parody of the charity events Superman and Flash would have by racing around the world, except instead it’s Homelander and A-Train racing around America. It would work perfectly with Vought basically choosing who wins each time.
Homelander is really overrated, he only looks invincible against humans. We’ve never actually seen him one-shot another supe apart from Black Noir who wasn’t even ready.
Kumiko does have super strength too. Her breaking his leg with a pipe doesn't make him weak. He was pulling a train on that broken leg in a few days. He's pretty durable. That's like saying since Maeve busted Homelander's eardrum, he's not that durable. 💀
I didn’t say weak, but Kimiko isn’t nearly as strong as Homelander. And the only reason A-Train’s leg healed that quick was because he shot up more V. Watch the convo he had with his brother during that scene.
@@HighCHD i didn't say you said she was weak. My point is that her being able to break his leg with a weapon doesn't make his durability weak. It would be cool if A-Train took a lot of compound v to buff himself like in season 1, since he has a new heart he could probably take a bunch of it without having a heart attack in 2 seconds
No single supe can beat Homelander but a group of them can. A-Train, Queen Maeve and Starlight together? Maybe. A-Train, Queen Maeve, Starlight and Soldier Boy? I think they’d win. A-Train, Nubian Prince, Nubia and Starlight? Maybe they can win. In Nubian vs Nubian they seemed pretty powerful. A-Train, Queen Maeve, Starlight and Black Noire 2? Maybe. A-Train, Queen Maeve, Starlight and Butcher? They can probably win. Especially if they actually trained for combat like Queen Maeve did. Even Soldier Boy was a fighter which is why he did so well against Homelander and everyone else ganging up on him. And Butcher one on one with Homelander on temp V did decent because Butcher can acutely fight.
Im a happy ass mf seeing my jokey ass question answerd and it's in a video, fucking love it. Also the time travel question was me messing, luv the channel.
Here's one thing though. A Train is terrified of Homelander. In that episode where homelander berates him for drinking a milkshake. Why didn't a Train run away from angry homelander? "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!?!"" Oh shit imma dip
If A-Train’s speedster abilities are like Makkari’s from Eternals then he would have a strong chance against Homelander. Though I know the show could never afford the of type special effects necessary for a scene like that.
A train is slower than Homelander. Homelander while looking for Translucent was moving 1800 kps (Mach 1.5), shown in the camera. A train while juiced up on V for his race against Shockwave, was only 830 mphs (Mach 1). Take these all with a grain of salt however, speed is inconsistent in the show.
@@theperfectbeing3976 My comment was already long, but yeah I agree with this, A train has a way faster start up in Speed compared to homelander, so he has that going for him
Eh that was earlier in the season, A-Train with a heart problem was fast enough to dodge Starlight’s beams of electricity. (I don’t remember whether it was light or electricity but if it was light then it’s way faster)
This may not turn out to be true but here's my theory. A-Train gets caught (which I am sure he will either way). The only way he manages to save himself is by getting into a political instead of a physical warfare against homelander. He joins Starlight & exposes everything that has been going on with homelander, vaught & the 7.
Can’t believe me posting the Last 3 Episodes of Season 4 and telling the Final Episode’s Name on Discord would inspire this Video and like I said in the Live Stream A-Train fighting Homelander would go the same way as as Red Rush fighting Omni-Man and we all know what happened in that Scene that became one of Nolan’s Fatality in MK1, all A-Train can do is slow Homie a little bit but then recovers, the Only Way John can be Beat is with Multiple Supes that are as Strong as Homie as all Homelander is is a Super Powered Bully that can be hurt but but it’s difficult to Kill, A-Train might not be Kill be Homelander but with Something or Someone else to get his Brother’s Trust on his Last Breaths, great Video as Always HighCHD
A-Train is gonna be killing supes and I think the fight scenes are gonna be fire,I don't think he'll kill homelander but he could really hurt him and I am very interested in how A-Train is gonna go about stopping sages plan
The other thing is, you have to take into consideration if A-Train will be confident enough for the fight. He’s basically standing up to his biggest bully who, he believes but might not be true, could kill him instantly.
It’s worth noting that in season 1, A-Train was suffering from decreased bone density, a side effect of his over consumption of Compound V. Which is why Kimiko was able to break his leg so easy, his bones were getting more fragile and brittle. Doesn’t make sense though, as his bones could still handle running at super speed.
There's a thing that many people forget: Speedsters are Glass Cannons. Their mobility is as high as their defenses are low. Most people also think Speedsters are nerfed, but this is because the plot that "nerfed" the Speedster overbuffed them beyond belief. Ex: if a Super strength character's feat is crumpling a car, the telekinetic can lift a car before bleeding out, the Speedster being as fast as lightning or time itself is overbuffing the Speedster (by doing this, it's also like putting Training wheels on a bike). People also forget Speed isn't Time, hence why Speedster can be caught off guard. Their perspective isn't slowed up, their brain speeds up. The world basically a bad ping server to them.
@@HighCHD i think you're confused because thats literally what i said 😂 rewatch your video, you say atrain beating homelander is like flash beating superman in the first minute 0:54
@@brabnoify when did I say Flash beating Superman was impossible. Again, I also clarified and laid out a way Flash could beat him like right after that so if you didn’t wanna finish after that bit that’s on you.
That phasing shit wouldn't work on Superman given how Superman can also control his atoms, and Superman would definitely be able to react to Flash given how there have been times of Superman reacting to irrelevant speed attacks.
A-Train should be able to beat Homelander easily. People underestimate speedsters so much but logically speaking, Homelander wouldn’t be able to touch him.
She was awkwardly and uselessly charging up for 10 minutes and sucking up the equivalent of an electric locomotive in power only to ... what ..? Push a guy down? She'd be better off practicing Judo than using her "powers". That being said... if she was fighting on the grounds of a nuclear power plant...
@@Nygassso his travel speed is faster his perception speed is MUCH MUCH slower. Look at the homelander vs soldier boy fight and compare that to A train vs starlight, A train can perceive everything as if it's moving in slow motion
I think we saw foreshadowing in the latest episode. My prediction is A-Train will annoy Homelander by saving The Boys during a big fight, getting them out of danger, before Homelander finishes him off. A-Train will actually be heroic. Now that I say that, we never actually see The Seven as a team, unlike The Boys.
If you think about it for more than 5 minutes, you’ll likely feel pretty silly saying, “nobody can convince me otherwise” which is already a silly thing to say. Homelander got bruised by Soldier Boy. So you’d have to argue Soldier Boy threw a punch harder than A-Train can with super speed. Which would be ridiculous because of the following… A-Train was pulling a train for who knows how far. Soldier Boy hasn’t, by feats, scaled to any amount of force that high. Soldier Boy cannot even punch clean through wood (if you’ll watch the Herogasm fight). Maeve could not punch through a filing cabinet, yet with a slim cylindrical object, could generate enough force to stab Homelander in the ear. Maeve is not explicitly stated to be weaker than Soldier Boy, but Soldier Boy is a threat to Homelander and apparently Maeve was never considered to be. So, you’d have to argue that with more speed applied to a punch, kick, or stab with anything slim or pointy, he could not replicate the previous feats that being punching through wood, denting a filing cabinet, and stabbing Homelander in the ear. That’s funny. Homelander has also never fought in super speed, and we know A-Train does not only run but move in super speed, so combat speed is still faster than standard speed. This is versus battles is known as a speed blitz. To simplify my point: A-Train has some level super strength, is of similar mass to any human being, and moves and runs in super speed, which means that at an exceedingly accelerated pace, he would be able to generate more force than Soldier Boy, who bruised Homelander and Maeve, who stabbed Homelander. Best you could argue, which is a solid argument, he just doesn’t have the durability to dish out a punch to Homelander without breaking his own hand. To that point, a smarter move would be to just use his legs which could endure a considerable amount more force (which he’s not a fighter, so he might not think of that). Or, use a weapon so that he doesn’t have to deal with any such forces. In reality, I don’t think any showrunner is actually smart enough to apply logic and process more than a 2 step plan that requires more than 3 minutes of thought when it comes to actual versus matchups. This is why speedsters are, more often than not, victims to folly and lazy writing.
Applying logic is almost moot, sure we've never seen Homelander fight in super speed, but he should be able to based on his c4 saving butcher feat. Thier fights also should have caused more damage, but that's probably budget and a combination of power inconsistency.
@@JoshuaGregoryTekenos I actually agree. There’s a lot that SHOULD be, SHOULD happen, and SHOULD result in, but due to not-dietetic and meta factors, powers are just wildly inconsistent. This is just the obvious limitations when pitting characters against one another when ultimately that’s not the direction the show wishes to go in, narratively.
The reason why a lot of people think A-Train can beat Homlander is mainly due to the Flash's ability to phase. To make matters worse, you don't need to be connected to the speed force or be a part of the DC universe im order to pull this off. You need to habe control over every single atom in your body to pull it off. And even then, you have to find the right frequency while your vibrating. Otherwise, you'll: A. Make the object explode. Or B. Get stuck between the object which won't kill you but it will be extremely painful.
Maeve stuck a metal straw into Homelander’s ear, He bled, she did damage, so i think A-Train can just throw a bullet into Homelander’s he just needs HomeLander to be distracted, occupied, or pinned
I don't think throwing a bullet would work since that's basically the same thing as just shooting a gun, and maeve was able to stick the thing in his ear by continuing to apply force That said, you just made me realize that if a train brings a sword or something, he could run hl down at mach speed and definitely impale him
@@frazfrazfrazfraz My theory is based on the fact that A-Train could throw a bullet faster many times faster than a gun, if the bullet is armor Piercing then the force a small bullet could create is extreme at A-Train speeds
A Train can't time travel because he only goes as fast as..well.. a train. Even if he ran around Homelander in a circle, what stops Homelander from lazering him in half?
It depends on how their speed compares. If Homelander can barely react to/see A Train then he will not be able to beat him and will either eventually get worn down and lose or it will be a stalemate since neither one can damage the other. But if Homelander lands a blow on A Train and he’s trying to kill him, he’s dead. Super speed is realistically such an insanely OP power to have.
A-Train can maybe dodge him for a while, intermittently save Kimiko, Starlight etc.,maybe sucker punch him a couple of times but then he should get the hell outta dodge. But the way they're setting up his redemption arc, and with him already having saved Hughie and MM and rumors swirling around that he'll spirit away Starlight in Ep 7, he'll try to pull Ashley or whomever out of harm's way and bite the dust.
I could see him doing decent hit-and-run blows on him if he aims for the eyes, ears and nose as long as he can control himself and uses a knife or some other edged weapon. But even then that would only slow Homelander down if we're being real.
I think thematically it will be a running battle where Homelander will have to high diff him because of how hard it is for him to catch him. Like imagine them chasing each other through the city, desert, etc.
Soilder boy fight showed us he be thrown arond and actually hurt, cut and bruise , like we see in season 3 but thing is A-train has Superstrength we are shown this in season 1, Homelander may be stronger but that doesn't take from the fact it wouldn't be like a brcik wall and with his speed he can make himeself stronger if u know what to do
Would be funny if they make fun of the revived Superman v Justice League and the show shows Homelander could actually speed on the same level as A-Train he simply chooses not to... would work perfectly with the meme of "It was at this moment he realized he goofed up".
From what I can tell A-Train is just Quicksilver, now if he had Flash speed then yes he could phase through his body, or increase the velocity of his punch to hit Homelander with a megaton punch, or hell just running his ass back in time and de-aging him back into a child.
I’d love to see an extended scene where A-Train tries to run away from Homelander. He just keeps running and running and running, but he can’t outrun Homelander. He pushes his powers to their limits and runs over the ocean and ends up being killed in like some other country.
The thing with flash is he has a plethora of abilities on top and with his super speed so unlike the other examples Flash vs Superman is a “could go either way” But yeah A train is fucked like red
the Flash bodies Superman in a 1v1. it's up for debate with A Train vs Homelander since A Train isn’t nearly as fast as the Flash and doesn't have nearly as many different applications of his powers as him.

Like every hero on The Boys, the powers are much lower level than DC, for obvious reasons. Imagine regular people trying to take on Supes or Flash. It would be impossible (without some BS like kryptonite, which isn't a thing in The Boys universe). Homelander is way closer to Superman than A-Train is to Flash. Waaaaay closer. Only ones who could actually somewhat injure HL were Soldier Boy and Maeve. Punching or throwing the dude doesn't do jack shit. Not without godly strength like those two. Even Kimiko tanked A-Train. She got wasted by Noir in like 10 seconds, and Stormfront destroyed her as well. Her durability is frankly not great, yet she still tanked A-Train for quite a while. Homelander is at the top of the pyramid in every category except regen. But since hardly anything can actually injure him to begin with, regen isn't very important for him.
A-Train has to work the way Red Rush did at the beginning of the battle against Omni-man, he has to fulfill the support role, he has to take the allies to and from Homelander area of damage, i'm sure he's faster than Homelander's laser so he should not have an issue evading those.
A train is gonna die sadly. there’s so many hints of him being the mole and sage/homelander catching on. Especially after dropping off MM at the hospital. That boy smiling will report it, wouldn’t be surprised if there was video of it and it goes viral (pr for A-train) and Homelander catches on even sooner. Or he’ll trap A-train showing him that he saved MM at the hospital during their party and he’s done for after that.
based on what? Maeve had an armored truck ram into her at full speed and didn't move a muscle or take a scratch and basically split it in half. Kimiko has mid strength yet with one swing of a crowbar she snapped A-train leg clean in half, A-train couldn't run through kimiko and even after repeatadly slamming her skull at super speed she didn't even have to heal. 1 on 1? no way. but maybe in a team up A-train could be the anti-climatic final blow. just rapidly punching homelanders chest sending him into cardiac arrest as he's being held. Kinda like when they were holding homelander down before he flew off once. I'd imagine he'd only need a few nano seconds to stop homelanders heart if homelander was defenseless or had his guard down for just long enough.
A-Train vs Homelander in a fight, Homelander would solo. But in terms of speed, A-Train would have an advantage if he knows how to use it. . A-Train does have a some level of super strength since he was able to pull a train. Homelander doesn't have Superman durability. He just has high durability like Jordan from Gen V. They both can take a huge beating. Homelander was beaten by 2 people with super strength (SB and Butcher) and he had a bruise on his face. There is also the fact that he was fighting Soldier Boy who was already a bit worn out by the eplosion during the party, but Homelander still had to use everything he's got. He also bleed during the fight with Maeve and Maeve is supposedly a bit weaker than him.
