Shoulder straps don't store away. I like three way carry - backpack, brief case and over the shoulder strap. Storing away all strap if you have to put the bag into cargo is useful.
Tortuga refuses to have store away shoulder harness which it is an issue to use as carry-on in overhead bins with straps flopping around. Like wheeled luggage that has to get laid side ways as bags will not got normally.
Thanks for the review! Would love to see how gadget that helps one adjust for torso size works and looks on your back as you make adjustments. I have a short torso (17,” height 5’6.”). Very hard to find one travel bag that has enough capacity, isn’t too long and doesn’t poke in wrong spots, especially if the bottom is really rigid. Tried dozens. Appreciate addition of load lifters. Still can’t hide the harness straps?
Based on the specifications of the Tortuga Outbreaker Travel Backpack, it appears that the backpack has a dedicated laptop compartment that can fit a 17-inch laptop. However, it does not mention whether it can fit two laptops of different sizes. It is possible that you may be able to fit both a 16-inch and 14-inch MacBook in the laptop compartment, but it may be a tight fit and could potentially damage the laptops. It may be better to place one laptop in the designated compartment and the other in a separate compartment or pocket within the backpack.
Are you guys thinking of stocking tortuga backpacks? I would grab the 35L in a heartbeat if I didn't have to jump through all the shipping forwarding from the US.
I know this isn't the proper place to ask, but will you be making the 14" MacBook Pro 2021 Rushfaster Laptop Sleeve available in the US? Love the minimal style, fit and finish looks great, would gladly wait a few months for it. Appreciate the channel and what you guys are doing!
Waterproof zippers on a breathable mesh packing cube might seem counterintuitive. It's possible the design aims for added protection in case of unexpected exposure to moisture while still allowing breathability for the items inside.
The Tortuga Outbreaker Travel Backpack hip belt pockets are designed to fit most smartphones. However, the exact size of phone that can fit in the hip belt pockets will depend on the specific dimensions of your phone. Based on the specifications listed on the Tortuga Outbreaker Travel Backpack website, the hip belt pockets have a maximum dimensions of 5.5" x 3" x 1". Therefore, any phone that fits within these dimensions should be able to fit comfortably in the hip belt pockets. It's worth noting that larger phones, such as the iPhone 12 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, may not fit comfortably in the hip belt pockets. In this case, you may need to store your phone in a different compartment of the backpack.
Great detailed overview! The comparison between the 35-litre and 45-litre is exactly what I was looking for; thanks. BTW, 5:23 "really unique" is not a thing; something's either unique or it isn't. You mean "remarkable", "rare", or "different".
