Just got the AP-02, seems great! If the legs where divided in 4 sections to make it more compact and the locks in metal, this would be unbeatable. At the price, it already is.
the Sirui AT-125+B-00K Carbon Fiber Traveler Tripod with B-00K Ball Head is 130 to 150 USD. It is 13.9" / 36 cm. It weighs 1.46LBs / 660g. Its ball head actually work well both in panorama AND portrait. So compared to PD tripod it is: 25% of the price, 10% smaller once folded, 50% of the weight. What you lose is: it's thicker when folder, It doesn't go quite as high once deployed, it takes probably 5 more seconds to setup and it's not as sturdy (not that is terrible either). I use mine for a month now and it is the best thing ever
Can you remove entirely center rod in AP-02, mount head directly to the tripod and simply make it 01? Reason I'm asking is AP-01 is now discontinued :(
I must say I agree with you on this. I keep seeing reviews of tripods that seem lighter and have more features but the one that I care about is the form factor and it’s not there.
1: it’s pronounced alu mini um because that’s the correct spelling, not the bastardised version Aluminum you yanks came up with 2: it’s LEEver not lev err, and while we’re at it it’s route, pronounced root not rowt just for a little extra guidance, I could go on but my time is limited 😁
Arguable. Look up the history of the word “Aluminum”. We Americans retained the older of the two spelling whilst Brits changed it to have a different spelling and pronunciation to keep on trend with sodium and the like.
@@LisaMarieFord everything is arguable, if you choose it to be, ask yourself this, what language do you speak ? English by any chance ?? Then speak English, simple, and as for the spelling, we retain the rights as it is “ our “ language, we only rent it out to others as an act of kindness 👍.

I take it you didn’t look up the history of aluminum, did ya? Sir Humphry Davy made it aluminum, but his colleagues/editors thought it wasn’t fashionable enough and wanted it to sound like a Latin word so they changed it to aluminium in England. Quite a few American pronunciations are the original English pronunciations, while the Brits use a newer pronunciation. Actually I natively speak American. Granted, there are plenty of English words in the American language, but also there are Seneca, Algonquin, Cussewago, and many more indigenous people’s words especially in our places, geographical locations, wildlife names, and descriptions, as well as some French, Spanish, Greek, Italian, and so forth. Kind of like English is derived from Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Welsh, Irish and Scottish Gaelic, Greek, Latin and so forth; only different.
