Great piece! Thanks so much. I've seen footage of Brian Bennett in early days with The Shads & using Premier. Anyone know what kit he used when recording "Little B"? Love the sound---& especially the snare!

Growing up in the colonies, I developed a love for Premier. I tried to get a Premier drum set in the States, and was good friends with the largest drum store in the USA at the time. He told me that their service is almost non existent. and what customer service they have is arrogant, rude and treat you like they are doing you a favor by selling you their drums. That is probably why they have lost large chunks of their glory day market share.

What a beautiful episode! Really awesome! I´m a PREMIER-Enthusiast myself. Love this particular signature sound. I own a 10 piece 80ies APK, which was my very first drumkit, and a few Snares, like a Heavy Rock 9 MK1, for which I´m looking for some spare parts for the Flo Beam parallel system...If someone´s having a complete, functioning Flo Beam System, just hit me up! 🤘

Loved listening to Stuart's recount, cos I was around there at the same time, and Steve was certainly a character, as was Sandy, these two were the delivery drives and we went all over, as part of my working through the company - Rex was a core character, as many were at the company, and that was the beauty - Premier was a family business which meant everyone who worked there, not just the "D-P family",

Their chrome was second to none .The shells were always perfectly round. They had a presence on T.V. on shows like Top Of The Pops and in a world of Tiwanese kits something to aspire to.
