@Stretch79
I swear it feels like Bill Walton was like the Mr. Rogers of the NBA. You just hear his voice and it instantly makes you feel better
@bojimuncher
Just from hearing him from the pods, broadcasting and replays, he just seemed like everything a human should be.
@JeewanthaBandara
He was so full of life. And this was after something close to 40 surgeries. To be that joyful and giving after decades of medical misery is quite something. I will miss him.
@semi6544
Bill Walton was so awesome. I never got to see him play but hearing his voice and seeing him broadcast was a privilege. The best broadcaster ever at announcing during a blowout. Never bored while watching a Walton broadcast. Bill could always make you smile. He will be missed but always remembered.
@roboslug
That fifth son comment 😭no shame I’m crying for the loss.

Bill Walton is 1 of 1. Truly nobody else like him!

I selfishly thought l had ten more years of listening to the wisdom, insightfulness, intelligence and knowledge of Bill Walton, so l am now soaking up all the unseen and unheard before Bill Walton on the internet hoping it will last ten years.
@scotmorley
His energy could light up the universe. Such a loss for the world.

There wasn't even a mould to break when Bill Walton was made. A complete original. One of the last of the Counter-Culture of the 60s.

When this news broke, I was wondering how RJ was doing. I knew that he was incredibly close to the Waltons. When I didn't see how on ESPN, I figured he's still trying to painfully sort things out. I hope the Walton family, including RJ, all the best.

Hearing this man's voice after he passed is a bit haunting but I am so glad we had him.

Rip bill walton 🙏🙏🙏

I recognize the tye-dye shirt from a game I watched, I suspect this podcast happened that day. The broadcaster did a gimmick where college announcers would announce an NBA game, and vice versa. So for a Cavs game they had Bill Walton, Dick Vitale, and a third guy. Very sorry that I forgot the name of the third one, the poor guy was like a straight man in a comedy team, trying to call the game properly while the other two characters were completely off the hook.
@KillerRobot9
He's truly amazing. RIP to one of the greatest humans ever.

"Throw it down big fella!" Sigh...
