Music by Erich Zann Part 1: • A tribute to HR GIGER ... Part 3: • A tribute to H.R. Gige... I modeled and rendered it with 3ds Max (Redshift), textured with Substance Painter and edited with Adobe after effects.
I used to have a limited edition book of many of his prints. It was signed by him. I had to sell it when my dog got cancer. I also had a first edition Dune signed by Frank himself. Those two books paid for his surgery. I miss the books, but I'd miss my dog more. He's still with me now. Blind, missing half a jaw, but still enjoying his life. I guess you could say he owes it to two of some of the greatest artists of our time; and yes, I think writing is also an artform.....
I found this to be a beautifully immersive trip into the Giger Universe, thankyou for this tribute, you're a genius! Why can't the Alien film producers glean from imagery like this and Giger's Necronomicon?
yes it is true, the bigest downfall with the alien franchise is that it couldn't even embrace it's creator , there was so much more to the Alien philosophy Fox couldn't except.
@@recsund Agreed, they're too busy mindlessly appeasing the shallow fan boys to maximise profits at the expense of what could truly be a visually stunning and thoughtful new direction to source material. They missed this opportunity in both Prometheus and Covenant, though I do still like those films. The Proto Alien in Covenant was absolutely exquisite.
Excellent work, Paolo. As a great H.R. Giger fan (I have many books on his artwork), I was at first not so sure about your inclusion of the white, alabaster-like figures, as Giger didn't paint any of his biomechanic humanoids like this, but then realised that it was part of your 'tribute', and as such does not have to exactly match Giger's work. Brilliantly done - thank you very much!!
@@rodriguepellaud Yes, I saw that it was based after that painting of Giger's, it's just that his figures were more shaded. Your work is brilliant - you have a great talent. Please do more of these videos for us Paolo. All the best!!
@@rodriguepellaud I feel exactly the same way when I write. But you have to be careful, from our perspective it can always be better, so you may begin to edit too much, whilst the majority of your audience, including me, only see perfection. A good friend once told me - the day critiques stop giving constructive feedback, and you finally feel that you have reached the moon, is the day you stop trying. Constructive criticism is vital, but don’t you change a single thing on this tribute, it is “Almost” perfect. And I can’t wait to see your “almost” perfect, next piece of art 😉❤️.
H.R. Geiger (1940 - 2014). Check out the best Sci-Fi movies from the 1920s, including Soviet films! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jQ65jWInNFg.html
Thank you for answering my question, Paolo, and putting it in your Infotext. Very kind. I also worked with 3DSMax long time ago, as well as Adobe After Effects, but I don't know what's now the stand. 3DSMax is not very much used for filmgraphics, for instance Blender, Maya or Cinema4D is more used, but you have done a really amazing work with it! You could work in the film- , game- or comic biz with your skills... Please make a Short Film with an attrative story and moving figures! :P
The music is a sort of white noise because hypnotizes myself. P.S this is an awesome form of Art, I'm completely excited swimming with my senses into this.
@@ericjohnson6634 oh shit me too, feels weird looking at something that's both human and... thing. I mean a dead body is just a human that is dead, a skeleton is the trace of a human but a mummy is neither really, sort of on the edge.
