A tribute to Hanyu Yuzuru 

As one of Olympic commentators noted, Yuzuru is a "liquid jewel" on the ice. Every movement of his skating looks so natural, as if a bird is flying over the ice, landing looks so light as if a feather is softly falling to the ice. It is because Yuzuru goes into his own theater of "music theme" and even the music is following his skating, not like other skaters who are trying to match the skating to the music. His figure skating is what the sports of figure skating should be.

Yuzuru Hanyu is the only skater who studies the science and math behind skating. He combines science with art. That’s the beautiful thing.

If there is such a thing, then Yuzuru Hanyu is the personification of the perfect ice skater. His grace, strength and elegance makes it look effortless as he glides and soars on the ice. Yuzu is everything they said about him and a lot more. He has such a courageous and beautiful heart, a kind and forgiving soul; he deserves everything, literally, everything beautiful in this world. God, please give him happiness and perfect health from this day on.

All of the other male skaters look manic and choppy compared to Hanyu. Took the sport to new levels and it will never be the same. He definitely is a legend and the GOAT.

He is the only one that continues to break limits of human abilities, and at the same time, he is the only one that never forgets to pay respects for ice, human life, and the figure skating. He is really a legend of the ice. And he is a phoenix, born, burned and born again.

Yuzuru is absolutely amazing! Never saw anyone like him.

Lovely to see that from people in the field, who know what hard work it takes to be that icon. Yuzu is the G.O.A.T. especially because of that unique mix of strength, power, flexibility, elegance and most of all his artistry. He feels the music and he expresses his emotions through his skating, he truly is a legend. An Icon.

Watching Yuzuru skating and performing each program, we can feel "THE TRUTH" of what he wants to tell, what he wants to show, and what a figure skating should represent.

I love him because he is an all around skater not only does he have the jumps but the artistry that at times gets overlooked. When yuzu goes out and skates he becomes one with the music and just has a fluidity and grace that's unmatched.

About Nathan Chen and what he said here and in some other interview, I'd say that he's constantly comparing himself to Yuzuru and I think He should not. Each of them is unique in his own way. Yet Hanyu is really one of a kind, impossible to do what He did, you can be excellent but you can't be Yuzuru, it's historically impossible.

There is no one like Yuzu. He is a true sagittarius, flame and warrior spirit!
