UPDATE: On April 21, 2024, Raymond Lee & Caitlin Bassett saw and commented on the trailer on Instagram, and shared it to their Stories! (Raymond: "This is very neat / Thank you for this", Caitlin: "10/10 (heart emoji")
Cancelled just as it was hitting its stride, the Quantum Leap revival was fantastic.
But I missed that it didn't have an intro like the original '89-'93 QL, so I made my own as a tribute. Custom-created new "year slideshows" (black-and-white historic photos overlaid with years that fly past).
Fan work only. All video property of NBC Universal.
Stream Quantum Leap (both 1989 and 2022 versions) now on Peacock.
Theme song: "Code Quantum" by Mike Post, performed by The Monterey Radio and TV Philharmonic Orchestra.

What a lovely tribute! You're right, it was just hitting its stride. Fantastic show, gone too soon.

@feldon27 It's nice but sad that the now cancelled continuation series didn't have an actual opening sequence like this maybe with an updated version of the original Quantum Leap theme. However in the finale the saga sell prologue music was brought back and can be heard in the background when Al's daughter Janice was talking about Al and Sam. 🤔🤗🎹🙏

too soon as in never should have been cancelled. quantum leap is the most underrated series of all time. it was and still is way ahead of its time.

I just wanna say thanks for this, it’s really perfect and makes me smile every time (I’ve watched it heaps lol). Reminds me of all the great stories we got and has helped a lot with the disappointment of the cancellation. :)

WOOOOOWW...so wished they'd done this this way ,would have probably got at least one more season than it did. or at least landed on Amazon or NETFLIX.

I think it probably will since both Amazon and Netflix do like to post a lot of trash, so hold onto your exciting check those woke boxes, you never know

It was a decent enough show. But now I can spend my time pining away for them to bring it back with Ke Huy Quan as the leaper.

@@rayscotchcoultonI just can't imagine anyone better if they actually want the show to feel like the original

@@evitative462 Thing is, I don't want it to be *just* like the original, right? I think it absolutely nailed the idea of having a virtuous but flawed protagonist as the leaper. But I find it refreshing, honestly, that we don't have someone who's just Sam 2.0 (who frankly I felt was almost too perfect a protagonist sometimes, with too few flaws). Any remake/continuation has to thread the needle of doing new things while staying true to the core of what came before it, and they're not going to please everyone. I'm reminded of folks who initially couldn't stand Star Trek: TNG (yes, I'm *that* old, heh) b/c Picard was nothing like Kirk, so how could it be Trek--to them, Trek wasn't Trek w/o him. And for some folks now, that's still the case. But TNG, and the QL revival, are for *both* fans of the old and newbies. And there will be folks for whom Quantum Leap should be "more like" the old one (though exactly how much or in what way is up for debate). That all said, I respect if folks would prefer a different leaper, but for my money, Raymond Lee was an inspired choice. The shame of it is I'd have loved to see what it's like having two co-leapers on missions (do they leap in miles apart? A week apart in the same place? Into conjoined twins?!) to see what that dynamic would be like. And, of course, I wished the show would have been around long enough for Scott Bakula to maaaaybe change his mind for at least a cameo. Ha!

@@rayscotchcoulton honestly, if there's an area where Ben is a better person than Sam, it's that he's a much more loyal romantic partner. I was pissed at Sam for breaking his promise to return to his wife.

Only just started watching the reboot/remake how many seasons is there
@rayscotchcoulton

2 seasons, 31 episodes total. If the writer/actor strikes hadn't happened (though to be fair, they were more than warranted) when they did, AND if NBC had marketed the show better, I think we'd have gotten at least one more season. S2 is shorter than S1, but I think it's arguably the better season overall (though S1 has several of my favorites of the series). In a way, the whole show is like one long two-part miniseries

28 episodes too many, everyone knew after it started. It was just all about woke box checking. The original is still the standalone and Scott Bakula knew to stay away from this crap. This was truly the most insulting reboot that NBC could do, and the true fans, and knew it, and it failed. Hallelujah
