I hesitate to leave negative comments, the internet is horrible enough, but as a native Cuban this was tone deaf and self centered. The food wasn’t better, because there is not enough not even for the people. There was no snow globe to buy, because it’s a third world country. There is no cheese, because poor countries often don’t have “basic” things. A resort vacation is such a lovely experience and all of this commentary for a different place may not have the same horrible impact. However, Cuba is a sad place because of its history and the daily needs the people face and have faced for half a century. I hope you do better. Please think about the context around the place you choose to vacation. No hate. I don’t want to discourage you from traveling or visiting these places. I’d, however, hope you learn to travel to and discuss these places with more care. ❤
