First a very heavy NS Eastbound mixed freight 12G crawls up the west slope with an AC44C6M 4278 and an ES44AC 8144 at full throttle giving everything they got with a mid train DPU SD70ACE 1107 pushing hard keeping the tonnage moving. As the manifest is just about to end, an approach of an extremely loud and slow Eastbound stack train NS 20T which could be heard for miles crawls up the mountains staying side by side with the tail end of the manifest, with an AC44C6M 4225, a C44-9W 9673, and a howling SD70ACE 1085 with a blown turbocharger for head end power. A few minutes later a westbound stack train 25Z sprints down the grade with a set of helpers in the rear. 3 trains all at once in just about 15 minutes, also got too meet a couple other railfanners that were enjoying the sights and sounds.
