I've seen cops multi-tasking in all kinds of ways while driving. Their eyes scanning over the elements of technology and occasionally looking out the window. So, unlike common people, this man is skilled at dividing his attention safely. Back in the late 90s, driver education classes started teaching "Cell-Phone and Driving." A conclusion was made that ended up in top university surveys: Typical common Americans can't be taught. But that still doesn't mean attention division management can't be learned. Police are good at it. They're the best. They rock!! Top skills. They crush it!! (...now, I have this little parking ticket I was hoping you could...)

Who said DJI? Hahahaha. Just kidding man. Nobbygreen came up with the first title of Mini killer back when I reviewed an Aspexel drone and the title has since stuck. Then a couple months ago, JJ Drones came up with the “Mini Killer Series” and I had to run with it. Now we have a pretty good “mini killer series” playlist going so we gotta keep it going as long as we can. Yea I know…. Kristi said the same thing. Hahaha.
Oh wow I didn’t know that about the center block. I’m gonna have to try that out man. Awesome! Those bugs suck but I’d say you guys up in Canada have us waaay beat. lol. Fortunately these little gnats aren’t the biting kind but there were some mosquitoes there that got me. I’m considering finding a new spot to test out these so called “mini killers”. Hahaha
I think you need to invest in some citronella candles or a bee keepers outfit to keep those bugs off you man hahaha.. Nice drone but since its not a mini its not a mini killer lol. Great job Kevin
Yep those bugs are prolific. They’re out to get you Kevin 😂 The stability was solid as a rock (no music pun intended) The footage was clear, it kept signal perfectly. Over here under 250 grams don’t need any registration but at the same time there’s no policing over who’s flying what. Are these cheaper than DJI ? I had James out today but even though he had 21 satellites he still toilet bowls. Annoying because the camera is fantastic but he’s untrustworthy.

Ok maybe not that cool but I survived. Haha. It’s definitely slot cheaper than some DJI drones but pretty similar to the Mini 4k price. I’m telling you Ruko has come a long way even since we started testing out their stuff last year. This drone did really well and the footage was seriously good straight out of the drone. Got another winner there, Kevin! I just finished a review of the Veeniix F11Pro and believe that it holds great promise. Question: How is the responsiveness of the camera tilt? Like the F11Pro2, the Veeniix camera tilt wheel is on the right side. It'll take some getting used to. Sorry that the bugs were so bad, but - hey.....you got a couple of snacks from the sound of it! BTW: I like the cinematic montage, as well as the Scripture verse in the outro! Good match-up with the verse and montage.
lol yea man this drone did really good. I think Ruko is on the right track for sure. I’d say the gimbal seemed pretty responsive and smooth, BUT it took a while to start moving when I was moving the wheel. It seemed to not react immediately but once it started moving it was really smooth. I’d bet it’s pretty similar to the Veenix. I mean, shoot. They almost have the same model name! Hahaha. Those bugs were relentless so I’m gonna have to find a new spot to test these mini killer drones. I will admit they were pretty filling. Hahaha. Heck yea, man! I was pretty impressed with this one. So far, this Ruko and the Potensic atom I flew back a couple months ago show some real promise. At 357 grams that puts it over the 249 gram limit for unregistered drones plus its transmission distance is 1/3 of a fimi mini 3 or a fimi x8 mini v2 , which are both established and proven platforms and both can be had for $300 , so hardly a mini killer . Kind of hard to be a mini killer when it doesnt event fit into the
lol all great and valid points, buddy. I’ve hear a lot of great things about the Fimi drones but I’ve never tried any of them out. The “Mini Killer” line I keep using is all for fun now. Pretty much any drone I test now will be in the mini killer class because it’s fun to say and that way it can fit in the playlist. Hahaha. Some people get a little upset about it though. Ya separate the men from the boys by the price of their toys. Man, those bugs were thick! I could see them all over the GoPro screen! Are those those tiny black bugs? They were swarming all over us at Disney World in 2007. Great job on this video, especially putting up with all those bugs! This Ruko drone does look pretty impressive for a non-DJI drone. The cinematic video is very impressive. But I don't know if it's worth the $460. Another great video Kevin. I love how you leave the outtakes in when you make a mistake. Hahaha

Yea it’s those pesky little black (non biting) bugs that just love to land in the corner of your eye or fly into your mouth while you’re trying to breathe. lol. I’m sure they’re at Disney still. Probably still waiting in like to get on a ride. Hahaha. You may find this funny but we’ve lived in Florida since the early 90s and have never been to Disney. Our boys all went with their schools when they were kids but we never went. I think disney is way overpriced like you think Ruko is. Hahaha. This is their flagship drone so they’re proud of it and for good reason. But you’re right. They could come down a bit on price for sure. I remember back in 2019 I think it was, I bought a EXO X7 Ranger with a 2 axis and no EIS for $400. I also had to add a spare battery because it only came with 1. The battery was an extra $80!!! lol anyway, I thought that was a decent price back then but I had a bad fly away incident with it on the 2nd flight and haven’t flown it since. Anyway, I guess what I’m trying to say is nowadays, drones are a lot less expensive and a lot more reliable. The DJI mini 4k is less than this drone and is proven to be almost perfect so Ruko needs to lower their prices at least until they’ve proven 100% that they’re as reliable as DJI, eh? Just my opinion. Hahaha
@@WeretheRoberts Yeah, lower their prices and improve their drones. There's lots of competition out there. That's what's bringing the prices down. I have a friend in Tallahassee that has been shopping for a good, but inexpensive drone for over a year. He keeps sending me questions about, "What about this drone? Do you think it's any good?" I keep telling him, "I don't know anything about those drones. There are plenty of reviews on RU-vid by people that have tested them. Just stick with DJI. You can't beat their drones!" He reminds me of Sheldon Cooper. I don't think he'll ever make up his mind. lol

One line I did find said something to the effect of, “The only geofencing Ruko utilizes is the 400 ft height limit.” I never really thought of that as geofencing but I guess it could be, eh? lol

At least until those suckers go away. Maybe in January when it cools off they’ll take a hike. Haha. That drone wasn’t too loud but the rode mic may have made it seem quieter than it really is. It has a lower hum pitch from a distance than the mini 2 but it seemed to be about the same up close. Definitely not early as annoying as the Neo from what I’ve heard.

Oh you’re right about that. The Mini 4 pro is in a class all its own and I can’t think of a single “Mini” drone that can beat it. I know this isn’t a real mini drone but in my mind it almost fits. Hahaha

@1:29 i was never concerned about that. actually i sold drone on eBay and i got text/call from faa that a drone under my name is flying around area in nyc that doesnt belong and i texted them back to shoot it down its not mine. i gave them all the info i had on the buyer and left it that way. hahahahahaa! plus heavier drone have much better wind resistance than the minis.

lol yea sometimes it takes a while for the DJI drones to stop being so scared and finally decide to land in my hand. This Ruko ain’t scared! Hahaha. The rep watched the video and told me it’s got optical flow positioning to help in its accuracy but I don’t know if that’s the same as the optical flow sensor we are all familiar with. All I know is that round thing on the bottom of this drone looks like a sensor but it definitely doesn’t act like one. Weird. Lol
@WeretheRoberts I get my finger nicked more because of that safety feature. If I could just reach and grab it slowly, I'd have it easily, but it jumps away, and I have to go too fast, and I hit the props.

That's the problem. Some of the most scenic spots I've found, without people to worry about bothering, have lots of of bugs. So much fun when both hands need to be on the sticks. 😂
