Cool video man it's good to see the progression. I am at the beginning stage trying to settle in on the balance point. I tried so many times before and failed. This time I approached it as just practice 10 minutes a day almost everyday to stay consistent and then a week later I found myself loving it because the progression was real and the balance point wasn't so scary.

Also try a taller gear! It helped me a lot when I started doing 3rd gear wheelies instead of 2nd. It’s a lot smoother not so aggressive.

good progression, I'm in the very beginning of learning to wheelie, also very new to riding in general and using a chinese dual sport to learn on so it'll be quite awhile before I progress all too much

Only about 6 months… I started on grass then transitioned to pavement. You should see a big difference in a few shorts months.

the only way you can get good at wheelies is just sending it and not be afraid to fall back. it hurts for a day just get back on the bike and learn the back brake

Falling down sucks/looping but it truly takes the moments for you to be successful at wheeling. Every time you go back further it registers in your brain that your capable of handling the bike it’s just about getting reps in. Your gonna fall, just have to be tough and hungry to get back up and keep working on it.

I started in the grass so dropping it wasn’t to bad… my first big spill on pavement slowed me down for a while tho. The bike flipped a few times but I fixed her up and was scared of that balance point for a while lol 😂 but I definitely feel like that experience made me a better rider…

@@Reptilefamily7 I definitely have a hard time going side to side in dirt or grass… I still can’t keep it straight on dirt and grass… i think that’s why I love pavement. It provides consistency and feels smoother.

I’m riding a 250 in this video… I started in first but now I use 3rd! I would say start in first just to get the feel for popping it up.

@@2wheels233 yeah i can pop it up in first but i can’t slow it down and 1st gear on most 125 2 strokes are pretty short so i can’t wheelie for too long but ima keep practicing and slowing down thank you 🙏🏽

Yea I need more seat Time… the one time I shifted from 3rd to fourth I went past my balance point I panicked and didn’t hit the back break. I ruined my helmet and thought I was dead for like two minutes 🤣😂🤣

I'm trying to learn to wheelie a 2 stroke 125 bike I tried with just gas and i popped it up just a little bit because I cant seem to pop it up using the clutch, could wheelies be kore difficult (especially while learning) because my tires are quite old and they need to be changed?

Yea but you just have to learn your bike a little more and have a feel for the power band... what gear are you trying it in?

@@alessio750 try sit on the back more and go to the fron and then to the back while dropping your clutch i also have a 125 u just have to give 2/4 or 1/4 gass and drop it if yiur going slow if i do fast wheelies i ride 2/4 or 3/4 then hit the powerband and jump a little

I’m 32... cover your back break at all times. Start in grass. You will bust your ass a few times but it’s not that bad especially if you start in the grass.

What's the point? Doing it on the street just gives all bike riders a bad name and doing it in the dirt just wrecks your gearbox over time. I knew guys who could wheelstand for hundreds of yards on the beach or the street but they were ALWAYS behind me at the finish line in a motocross race. Just saying...

I’m in the country… there are no stores around me for 30 miles. If you don’t live out here, you don’t come out here. I chose to ride streets because that’s what I enjoy doing. I have no interest in racing dirt bikes or being the fastest. I race cars. Wheelies are fun and that’s it. To answer your question, the point is I enjoy it.
