Dior, I actually saw you on a Wynns episode and thought of you and family and friends living on that island. I came across your channel recently (guess because of the whales) and binge watched. I feel with you and it's heartbreaking to see this so lovely home, where every little detail was so clearly visible build with so much love and care and hands-on efforts, now destroyed, this beautiful surrounding covered in ash, the animals suffering, not to mention all the poor people who may have even lost more. I only know you and your wonderful parents of course from your videos, but I am sure you will be able to revive your dream to live in the place where your heart really feels alive and at home. I've been watching your videos from the start and am very sorry to hear the news. It was a beautiful place, but at least the things that really matter in the end are safe. Stuff is replaceable, people and other companions are not. You guys, Sam's family, and your animals are safe, and that's a much better result than it could have been. I know that doesn't do much to help, but leaving when you did was actually quite fortunate from a rebuilding perspective, as although your home ashore was destroyed, your floating home and business is safe. We are all wishing everyone in Tonga the best.
I found your channel after someone online linked the video of you exploring the volcanic island, to show what it was like before the explosion. Since then I've fallen in love with your videos. The way you present, film and montage them is just so enjoyable. I've watched all of your past videos by now. I'm really saddened to hear that your friend has not made it and that the beach barn is gone, but also happy that it isn't anything worse. I'm looking into donating to TAWS right now. I just found this site. I remembered. Gone with The Wynn visit of your place. All the wonderful. enchanting places that your family developed to make it a home. The sustainable garden effort. Harvesting the coco nuts. Swimming with the horses in the ocean. It was magical. This must be, to be sure so heart breaking. I wish you and your family heartfelt wish that you all will heal as best you can. There is no way that the people you met in Tonga and created. community with. I've just found your channel and I hope everything is ok. I am an animator and I'm fascinated with volcanoes. The eruption there was something else. Really powerful. It is my dream to one day see corners of the world like that. You have beautiful footage in your videos. I am from Florida originally but have been in an abysmal town in the Midwestern U.S. recently. I am a nature lover and love geology and camping outdoors and this video has some amazing shots in it. I hope all is well. That was an insane eruption.

However, it i's awesome that you got a video of the volcano before it erupted because that will now go viral, and you recorded a piece of history. You should make a go-fund-me for yourself and your family to get your house re-built and another one for everyone else on the island in general. Please do this, I'm sure people would donate money.
