The dried pressed flowers is a nice touch with the sealing wax. Really makes it even more special.

Hello HJ. What a nice touch to end a personal letter. In the spring, we are loaded with little blue forget-me-not flowers that I always use in my journal to remember one of my late sons and the dogs that we were fortunate to have in our family. Although I do this just for me and my memories, it brings them closer to me in the moment. Nice job. Very creative.

This video and the previous one about "The lost art of letter locking" are two gems. Personally I am much more interested in learning new ways to express myself through writing and journaling than in pens or inks reviews. The quality of your last videos, in terms of content and editing, has definitely improved, and I enjoyed them so much. I really hope to see more of these simple, elegant and original videos in the future. Thank you for doing a great job!

@@HemingwayJones Should I seal my letters with wax that matches the ink I used to write my letters? Please advise. This has become a burning question for me. When I'm preparing to do a wax seal I set my stamper on one of those freezer packs that you use to keep a lunchbox cold. I find that if my stamper is cold and has a trace of condensation it will release more easily from the wax. Works for me anyway. 🙂

My local fountain pen store guy gave me a cool tip, put the seal on a couple ice cubes and then press it, it will cause the wax to cleanly detach

What a beautiful touch and it dovetails nicely with your letter folding video. Although I have pressed flowers in the past, I’ve always struggled with how to best use them. Putting them on a letter to a loved one is a perfect way to use them to create a lasting memory. Thank you so much.

You know, this reminds me that somewhere in my grandmother’s home, there’s a book from 17 years ago that has a giant four leaf clover pressed in its pages. I can’t believe this video triggered such an old memory. I wonder which book it’s sitting in…?

Sometimes there is a problem in some nations that the post office will secretly open the letters to read them and then quietly put the tape back on. I wonder if wax sealing letters would prevent that, as hiding tampering with a wax seal seems difficult.

@@HemingwayJones I can tell you have some intense anger deep inside probably from childhood, I really meant it in a nice way, maybe I’ve miss word it, that I wouldn’t dare open such a nice looking letter to ruin the packaging.
