As we visited the Horror Nights we were in the park since opening. The Qs were very, very low. Mummy was walk-on, Men in Bleck walk-on, Gringotts 10 Minutes...and then, when the event started, Gringotts had 60 minutes, Mummy 60, MiB 50. Never seen such a crowd in a themepark. ^^
Tim, have you heard the rumours of the new Jurassic roller coaster supposedly under construction at IOA where the old Triceratops Encounter was? Looks awesome!
The Simpsons Stay and Scream area lets you go over to Slaughter Sinema and Blumhouse. And then you can be one of the first in line for Dead Exposure :)
I’m pretty sure the reason that there’s no soda in the wizarding world is because they aren’t in the story... I don’t think they are worried about selling healthy foods when they sell butter beer.
It depends on the type on Butter Beer, but the common one I believe is 200 calories. Which may be a little bad, but it's better than most Starbucks drinks, so it's good every once and a while.
I thought for sure the round building was Hagrid's hut, but now that I see those large window-things jutting out I'm not sure anymore. Can't wait to see what this coaster's gonna be like, it looks awesome so far!
I went to universal for the first time in 15 years yesterday and the day before and I was so impressed! I could see only a bit of the new HP coaster but if its anything compared to how amazing gringotts and forbidden is it'll be awesome, and hopefully open by the time my gradbash rolls around this spring.
I sang the original theme park pigeon song every time I saw a pigeon in the parks! Love the remix So excited for the new coaster, just the peek of Hogwarts and hagrids hut we could see was just awesome.
Watching this video in the car with earbuds in and it’s a whole new experience! Tom sounds like he’s in the car with me and the audio just sounds awesome! Really liking hearing it through the earbuds!
I love all the videos but having stayed on universal site both times I’ve been to Orlando, I love the universal studios vids as it brings back great memories! That islands of adventure music is everything to me, the perfect reminder of my holiday so makes me smile every tine I hear it in a vid! Also super excited for the HP rollercoaster... roll on 2020 when I’ll be back over there!
We spent an entire day just between the two Harry Potter lands once in December and it ended up getting chilly at night and we got hot butter beer and it was just the most magical day of my life. All the music and magic and the chill with the hot drink... ugh take me back!!!
T T it was first week of December 2016. It wasn’t hot during the day, around high 70s low 80s maybe. I had shorts on and by night time we had bought sweatshirts and I was comfortable in a sweatshirt and shorts with the warm butter beer.
I went to universal studios and islands of adventure during the late winter lol like the first week of March and the wait time was very low for everything. We waited 30 minutes max with the exception of an hour and a half wait for kong.
This video is so helpful!! I planned our trip for October this year without realizing HHN is a thing. I was worried it would be too busy for us, but this makes me happy to see that it actually made wait times lower!
Omg!! Scooby Doo!!! I've never really met him, only when I was little!!! Awwww he was so adorable!! If I came up, I'd squish whoever is in that costume so hard they'd start coughing because that's how much I love Scooby Doo and the gang!! ^O^
We were there earlier in October and the crowd levels were insane! The daytime crowd levels in both parks felt weirdly high and difficult to navigate. Thank goodness for express passes. Glad you caught a much calmer day!
Cool roller coaster! I've always wanted to go to Universal and Disney and other theme parks in Orlando to get the whole experience! I like your videos because they explain stuff in simple terms instead of just describing something! I sure appreciate it! Thanks for sharing your day with us!
The SF pastry co is my little go to hideaway. Never very busy and you get a massive slice of cake and a good old regular coffee for not a lot of money.
Ugh... 30 minute wait for gringotts... so lucky...I had to wait five hours, in 28 degree weather, with extreme wind, OUTSIDE. The reason it was so long was because they had a system malfunction, also we were told by a park employee that it was the busiest day of the entire year (2017). But the thing is, they kept everybody outside, and the inside was completely empty. We literally had to run through that beautiful waiting line because everybody was trying to push past. Really sad. We got to the park the next morning real early to do the ride again, but, it was almost as busy as the day before, and we wanted to ride the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmead, Hogwarts, and the rest of the islands of adventure, and the park was filling up really fast.
The Witch's Brew tasted like orange creamsicle to me, but I really liked the chia seeds. They get all frozen when mixed with the frap, and they have this really interesting texture to them that I haven't experienced before. I could have sworn there were little bits of watermelon in there, but nope. Chia seeds.
We went on a random Sept days - no ride was more that 15mins pretty much all day, occasionally they fluctated like minions went up to maybe 25mins but wait a bit and it would drop - but most it took longer to walk the lines than wait in them. Thats the time to go . Did everything in half a day and then had rest of day to re ride. Islands on another day was the same - in 4 days at both parks never a line more than 30mins . - Definitely the time to look at going.
I love watching your videos after school and you guys just calm me down and release all of my stress I have only been to Disney twice and Hollywood studios once and I loved it. P.S. Keep up the good work on your videos.
Thanks Tim great video me and my future wife always watch your videos on the different parks because it’s great knowledge from you how to get around and the best ride stubborn ride enjoy your videos very much hopefully me and my future wife would bump into you and your wife in the parks when we come over thank you again Tim and look forward to the next video when you bring it out
We were there last week and wait times were about the same. It was awesome! Our longest at HHN wait was stranger things. Definitely worth being corralled for a while to get it done first. Rest of the wait times were somewhat short.
I was planning on doing a construction update at IOA as well, unfortunately my phone battery did not want to coorporate. I am going back next Friday evening to do another Universal vlog so it's all good.
I love your videos! I know I say that alot but you are so helpful and informative. I learn new Info durning every video. Thank you so much for all the hard work you and Jen put into your RU-vid channel. It is very much appreciated!❤❤❤❤
I remember on rip ride rockit they stopped the whole cart bc I tucked my lanyard in my shirt. They removed me and made me put my lanyard in a locker and made me wait for the next cart. It didn't have any metal or anything on it and it was safe in my shirt/jacket. There were also other people who tucked their lanyards in their shirts, but they didn't get removed. Lol
I went to universal like two weeks ago and rode MIB about 30 times through the completely empty single rider line I spent over an hour going from the exit of the ride straight back to the entrance
I went to horror nights that day and it was actually not so busy! Stranger Things was of course a long wait all night (60+) minutes but the longest we waited for the other houses was maybe 35 minutes. We went as soon as it started and most of the waits were 5-15 minutes for a few hours.
I got to IOA around 5 on a horror nights night recently and the wait times were the worst I had ever seen them. I expected them to be low like you did but didn’t have any luck. I guess it just depends on the night!
Are we sure that is hagrid's hut. Some parts of the roof don't look like it. Could it be another building like the Shrieking Shack? Location-wise it would make much more sense.
When will the new rollercoaster be done? My family is coming for Christmas I hope its done by then! Last time we came kong was under construction. Roughly 3 years ago?
To be fair, JP’s ride is usually a short wait during the colder seasons in FL (yes, such a thing DOES exist lol) because it’s a water ride and no one wants to be wet and cold
I enjoy all your videos, because I love all the theme parcs and water parcs around Orlando! Thanks for the update, I have to come to Universal again as soon as this opens! Next time you go to Universal, could you do me a favor? At the entrance from the Horror Make-up show, (next to ET) there is a nice old lady from Bavarian, Germany ("Hilde" says the nametag), who counts the people (at least she was there the last times I visited Universal). Hope she is alright and if you see her it would be nice if you could give her my best wished from her former homeland.
