I am one for loving art. And I love how their personalities come through their paintings. And it just shows how amazing the human brain is for what each person sees and portrays differently than the next person. Ellie your painting is super pretty, I love how you just did it the way you wanted, and Jared I love the way you blended the trees and added that texture! Love you all! After all the drama with ShayCarl, it's so nice to see a video like this. I really hope that your love and devotion to each other lasts forever. I know it's hard to say that, but after seeing so many Mormon couples on youtube lately cheating on their spouses, it makes you wonder if true love really exists. I hope you will frame these paintings and mount them on a wall where you and your guests will enjoy them for years to come. My sincere condolences Ellie about your Aunt passing away recently. I thought it was lovely that you spent time with your parents quietly offering support. As the coming months go by, your memories of your aunt will both bless and instruct you on key things in life. Sadness is there but also reassurance about God's love and the mystery of somehow everything being in His hands.

Awww those paintings turned out AMAZING! I do agree that oil paint is harder to use than acrylic though. Sometimes my mom and I do "paint nights" kind of like this because I'm not old enough, but I think it's still really fun to do with my mom. I hope you guys have a great day!

The Bob Ross painting session is awesome! Way to go Jared. After my Dad's heart attack he would sit in front of the TV and learn to paint. I have two of them hanging in my house and always remind me of him since he passed away. Don't worry Ellie I saw some of my dad's first versions and it only takes a little practice to get oil paints down. :)

Fantastic art work really. I've turned 36 today and are in the dumps I miss my mum she would always put banners and balloons up no matter what age and be cooking up a storm of roast dinner butterfly cakes and a birthday cake. Cancer takes too many good ppl too soon. My kids did spoil me though but they had to go as it's there dads turn. Glad u had a lovely Valentine's Day xxxx

Paint thinner guys! Oil paint should be thinned so you can use it so much easier or else it's super thick & pigmented. Lots of love!! 😚❤️️❤️️

Gosh Darn it, How do you do it. I was smiling cause of your sweet sweet Valentine's Day, Then bam, I'm crying after you were thanking us for the messages and support through this time.... Possibly cause I love you guys, And also cause your feelings right now of loss and grieve are still reasonably fresh in my heart from the loss of my grandmother early last year, and the finalising of her life by the sale of her house. Ellie - don't throw your sweater out! Use blue Dawn dish soap on the oil paint, lightly squeeze/scrub it in, then wash it as usual. Don't dry it and keep going over it and over it until it's gone, often on the first try. I had an apron I wear for oil painting and it had dried splotches of oil paint all over it. I soaked it in soapy Dawn dish soap water, then added Dawn to the spots themselves and they all came out! Works well for salad dressing spots, etc. - anything oil based - on clothing too. When we run out of dish soap at our house, the standard comment is "go get the dish soap out of the laundry room, please". xoxox Heather 🇨🇦

I love that you guys are painting together... I've been trying to get my husband to paint with me for years!! To help with the color and adding highlights it's best to keep a clean brush and/or palette knife at all times. I've found it helps to have a dry brush effect for certain highlights as well.. and don't use a heavy hand!.. but they look great for just starting out! 👌🏻
