So, I always thought that Dan was indulgent but neutral about all of Alex's birds bc he's a Good Husband and a genuinely good guy. But hearing him actively compliment James and hearing how willingly handles Archie makes me smile! I was worried that Archie might not get the attention he's used to bc he's aggressive with Alex, but it seems that Dan fills the void! Ya'll really are such a good match!

Hi Alex! Knitter here, and here are some fibres and their sources: "Angora goat" is also called mohair, and is indeed from a goat. Angora is a totally different animal, and is actually a bunny! You can either clip a bunny or pluck the loose under-coat. Cashmere also comes from goats Wool comes from sheep (Merino is a specific breed, for example) You can also get fibre from llama and alpaca (young alpaca are called cria, and cria fibre is the first shear from an alpaca and is delightfully soft and fluffy) Australia (EDIT: New Zealand, not Australia, as pointed out by Sarah below! Apologies!) is known for their use of an invasive species in creating knitting yarn: possum! It can be easily blended with wool to create a really unique yarn

What I can recommend on Redbubble are definetely the cups, the water bottle and the tumblers. I use mine for over a year now, put them in the dishwasher every single time and they're still great. Except for the water bottle which I drop from a two story high balcony on concrete - totally my fault. It now scrapped off some of the white colour and has a dent in the bottom but it's still a 100% functioning and no further scrapping off happened around the edges, not even in the dishwasher.

Angora wool is a fluffy fibre that comes from the soft, thick coats of angora rabbits. It is considered a 'luxury' fibre, along with other wool such as cashmere, mohair and Alpaca. (Angora goats are used to produce mohair and not Angora Wool). Just had to clarify because I love all things yarn and I’ve never been so lucky as to have anything from angora!

Seeing James and Lilly is reminding me of my childhood Chooks with their fuzzy feet. How they would swim around the pool like lil mad hen. I never would have known that chickens can swim. I actually really like that sweater, you could pair it over just about anything! If the buttons are of good quality its probably an old sweater lol. Buttons are not like they used to be.

Alex I wonder, if you get enough rescues, if you were to have the photos you take of them up in a gallery and use that as obviously a way of showing your art but also having it as a space so people can adopt them? Obviously with background checks etc to make sure they're decent people. And of course if seperate people buy the prints they could either go directly to you as money for your sanctuary or go to a different rehab for pigeons? ✨💚✨

Set a rule in place that the dish doesn't get set down unless it's rinsed off and then it can be put into the sink unless the dishwasher is empty then it goes in. But rinsing dishes immediately will save so much time and make your life so easy. Baby steps!

Angora actually comes from a special breed of rabbits. The one in my profile pic is Ragnar. Their fur never stops growing and they never shed. Therefore I have to clip his fur at least every 3 months. Angora wool is 8 times warmer than sheep wool and extremely soft.
