As someone who just started watching your videos since your move - its actually refreshing seeing an influencer who IS living and enjoying their own life, not just making shit up to vlog about it :)
As a viewer, I don't mind you living with roommates. It's nice to see you crochet with Emily in the evenings and seeing what you guys get up to. Crocheting at the park was fun too. 💕 I've lived with roommates before during university for a brief time but I wasn't as close to them while they were all close. It's nice to watch the vlogs and see clips like that! Living vicariously through you.
I'm so happy for you and your new man, you deserve all the happiness there is. I love the Q&A and a little bit about how comments (even though they might mean well) can affect a person. Some people don't understand, it's not so easy putting your life out in front of the world. Thank you for sharing your dating life with us! Happy you've started seeing someone, your face lit up when you talked about him. I think during vlogging, just saying you're going on a date with him or you're gonna have dinner/watch a movie w/him without showing or giving more detail is more than enough information to give. Keeps the audience informed on the fact that you have a dating life without giving much detail.
I felt you were dating and am so happy for you, it was at the end of a vlog you got dressed nice and did you hair and makeup it was after a very busy day n your life, you looked stunning and idk there was just this glow about you and some giddiness I saw in a cheeky smile that just said I am going on a date and have met someone special! thanks for sharing all the updates!

I would love a video on budgeting and trying to stay in a budget. I like the "what I spend in a week" videos.. especially in expensive cities! I live in the greater Toronto area and work downtown. I'm living at home to try and save for a downpayment over renting in the city.. so I love these vlogs lol. I am torn when it comes to trying to save what I can for a downpayment and renting.. I wish I had my own space. But the high rent and possibility of the landlord selling a unit or house and then the expenses with moving terrifies me. Plus, the rental prices are just like.. way too high... so much of my monthly income. 😢
I just turned 35 - and let me tell y’all. Mid 20s is hard and it really gets better after that. Around 30 you really start to settle into yourself and the knowledge that no one really knows what they are doing. I turned 27 in 2016 😅 Big break up, got laid off, turned 27, election.. but I also got my current job that I am still with and so happy and obsessed with. Aaand I went from artist to an executive 💪

The studio may have made a better “set” for the vlog, but it had its drawbacks for you (such as the scaffolding) and you should live where you’re happy .

I lived in NYC for a looongg time and I found it easy to live there but I don't drink so that cut a lot of costs lol :) Love that Hathaway movie too!
I didnt feel anything change until I hit 40, the 30ties was the best decade of my life, I felt fantastic, I wasn't over-analyzing life like I did in my 20ties anymore, I just lived. don't forget to be young Alexis take the dinners and the coffee now, then later when you have a mortgage in The Hamptons you can budget.
Loved this. 57 cats, haha! I have two now but they fight occasionally (for dominance) I rescued several cats last fall and winter during the cold and an ice storm and found them loving, safe homes. So yeah, it would be easy to become a “crazy cat lady.” 😂 Bennett may or may not like another kitty there. Mostly, he loves you! ❤ I had wondered if you were dating. Glad you are sharing just what you feel comfortable with about that and any health issues. I’m sure you do get a ton of unwanted advice and stories! I can’t imagine how expensive NYC is with all the restaurants, coffee shops, & things to do! The bagel looked so good! I would love to have a little beach house or cottage to go to the beach/ocean several times during the year! I love the beach! Do Ubers or cabs run on Sundays since the Subway was down and the bus went too far and you had to walk fast/run to rehearsal? The food vendors sound fun.
That's so true with health issues, I made the same experience, if I share it they really give unnecessary recommendations 😢 I really don't need that at all 😅

I couldn’t finish a family affair. But I’m like you with final episodes. I do watch, but it’s sad, which is why I love marvel end game but I get so sad at the end that those marvel glory days are kind of over. I did just see Fly Me to the Moon. Very cute!
I'm so glad your health problem turned out to be totally manageable. In this era where--it seems--so many younger people are pretty unhealthy, it's lovely to see you eating well, getting plenty of exercise, etc. You are an inspiration! The point about "private" vs. "secret" is very important. There's this other channel I watch. The vlogger always presented herself as single, for years. Her friends (with and w/o YT channels) are very open, "we're gay, we're a couple" or "this is my bf"...etc. Well, suddenly this vlogger moved in with her girlfriend, who was presented for years on her channel as "a friend." They are definitely in a relationship, it has been acknowledged, but it is taking her a while to relax around her girlfriend onscreen. Clearly she kept her secret for a long time, and is having difficulty with the transition to merely private. I figure if one day you move in with your bf, we'll see him around in the background then LOL! In the meantime, I am so happy for you! Congratulations!! FYI You handled your ex and the breakup really superbly--so much common sense and dignity. I felt so bad for you, but you hung in there and did great. You are a class act. Meow 🙂
Maybe their partner isn't comfortable with being on screen or sharing their private life as much as the RU-vidr! And not sure if they're only recently "out" but maybe they're slowly easing into sharing it online and being transparent. It can be tough with unsolicited comments.
I edit in FCP X and under the retime option I select Hold. from there I add enough holds to make it long enough for my voiceover clip and then using a mic plugged into my computer I select Record Voiceover and record it from there!
You can always post about your health stuff and close comments. Check out Julia Fei - she's a RU-vidr in NYC who has a boyfriend, and she always blurs out his face and doesn't share his name. She'll show fun places they go, restaurants they eat at, but we don't know his name, what he looks like, or what he does for a living. Agree with you that the Zac Efron movie sucked and the Anne Hathaway movie was awesome. Also agree that when you live in the city it's SO easy to buy stuff constantly. Not like in the suburbs where you have to get in your car each time you're going anywhere. I built in eating out twice a week into my budget - that way it's accounted for.
I know you didn't mention what your blood disorder is. But I also suffer from a genetic blood disorder called Hemochromatosis and see a hematologist and get routine blood work. Although I'm not sure hemochromatosis is super rare as much as it is just widely misdiagnosed or under diagnosed. I'm glad you found out what it is tho! 🩷
