To become a Christian means to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. As overused as that statement is in many online medias, it's the darned truth. What's important is that you believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins, not that you go to Church or pray or help the sick and poor or any of that. But aside from that mini-lecture, I totally agree with your comment. Kirbo is one of my favorite animated characters ever.

Think of all the violence, crime, wars, mass murders, political/social scandals, etc. etc. that happen on a yearly basis. It's disgusting, revolting even. The selfishness, the hate, the greed... what kind of omnipotent, omniscient being would even try to redeem something like that? Let alone come down to *die* for something like that? It can only one that is as loving as it is powerful. There are certainly rewards, both in this world and in the eternal, for showing the appreciation of our salvation by sharing the gospel with others and obeying God's Word. But for those who were saved late in their life and never got the chance to do so, God doesn't begrudge them His mercy.

We never realize when we have a Kirbo in our life until that Kirbo goes away, ultimately resulting in a devastating realization.

It can be hard to accept help when you're the breadwinner. Not only do you want to prove that you can handle anything and protect the ones you love, but doing so can make those people feel like a burden on others. As much as we like to get upset at them, it's important to remember that they're people too.

I've been in both situations and I"m actually in that situation now where I am with my family taking care of my parents and we are literally drowning, and my Dad makes the money. The best way to spread the name of Jesus Christ is to follow His commands. And He commanded "love thy neighbor" As a Christian myself, I wish I could convince everyone to see the good that comes from following after Christ. But God knows the importance of individual agency. And knows I will be made better by not judging or condemning, but always extending a helping hand in love and faith.
