I chose the Nell dress rather than the Fleur Dress because I prefer a V neckline. I’m also new to sewing so I mostly make Tilly and the Buttons patterns because they are very beginner friendly. The Nell was my first ever dress, I made it in a beautiful Rose & Hubble cotton poplin. I did the puff ball sleeves, bows on the bodice and buttons on the skirt. I will definitely make it again in a linen and a viscose. I love the colourful fabric you have used for your Fleur Dress.
When you said no fabric.. I laughed and my hubbie asked what I was laughing at.. I said she is lying .. she'll buy fabric ♥ I really love the red on you.. Make the fleur in a solid red.. it looks stunning I like that red dress on you too but if you don't like the neck then make one you do like ... its really is your colour
I love your Fleur. I feel your pain about the upside down flowers. I did the same with a precious fabric that has belonged to my husband's Nan - I cut the back piece with upside down flowers. It's annoying as I didn't even need to! The good thing is that, like your fabric, it's quite a busy print and in the back. Noone will notice, especially those who don't sew. 😅
Adele, good luck with the room tidy. That's the hardest to get started on. Who wants to spend time sorting, folding, and stashing when you could be sewing? Your Fleur Dress is lovely. I have the blouse on my hoping-to-sew list. X
Good Luck sorting your room. I can’t sew if my room is need of a good tidy. Your red Nell was wonderful but the Fleur is even better - I too prefer the shape. Cannot wait to see the red made up - it really is your colour. Enjoy your shopping - such a shame you won’t buy fabric😂😂😂😂😂. Happy sewing, shopping and sorting. 😊Lynne
