Also, when first getting into Shinee I noticed Key and loved his style. I payed more attention to Taemin though because (I was even self aware of this) I was trying to be "not-me" so hard. I thought back then that you could change who you were and Taemin was so good at the technical moves and looked fancy. I was never a fancy person, I was always a hodge-podge disorganized mess of a person. I didn't see the value in that because I was so different and felt real bad that I wanted to be in harmony with others. Rambling a bit much but I knew subconsciously that Key was like me, so I didn't pay attention to him because I thought that I wouldn't be growing and expanding myself if I did. I was learning Minho's part for Sherlock because I wanted to be tall and strong. I would think to myself "I really should be learning Key's part because he is more close to my style" embarrassingly, that was the song that I was trying to get their names and faces memorized but somehow I mixed up Minho and Jonghyun. I think it was the jacket, and I never payed attention to height haha. Because of that song I learned more about Jong, how he was born the same year I was and seemed to have some things in common but I was actually watching Minho... 😅 whom I appreciate but don't have much in common with. I always respected him and thought he was cool though. I'm face blind until I establish an emotional connection or more context but I could always tell who key was haha. I'm so proud of him and how he has been doing with his music and his confidence. He shines and sparkles and is always growing at his own pace. It helps me appreciate my own style and capabilities as well. Thank you to anyone who actually reads that. I kind of self-reflect as I type and all my introverted thinking just comes out all over the place. Take care.
