Christmas in summer sounds like so much fun! I love the song "White Wine in the Sun" that is a song about spending Christmas in Australia when you live far away from home, by the awesomely talented Aussie Tim Minchin. How wonderful that you got to spend that time with your family, and especially your pops. The way your grandparents look at you shows just how much love they have for you, that is the most tender look I've ever seen. I'm so, so sorry for your family's loss, Dianne. What a true gift life gave you by allowing you to spend those moments with your grandfather. And Joe got to meet him, which I'm sure was very special for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss Dianne x My family spent our first Christmas without my grandma this year, and our whole family is musical, so spending Christmas without our resident piano and organ player was very hard. She used to play at our family church every week, and had an amazing arrangement of the last verse of Silent Night, so we had a stand in organist for Christmas who learnt my grandma's music and the whole family were in tears because it was like she was here with us. Hope you and your family are ok during this time of grieving 💜
As an Aussie in London, this made me miss my Pop back home so much! That ending wrecked me. You were both so lucky to be able to have such wonderful memories together as a beautiful finale!
Children and Christmas is so magical! Their excitement at things as adults we overlook completely, or find boring ♥ Lovely. So glad you got to be there for Pops last Christmas, but just know he will always be there in spirit ♥

My sympathies Dianne!!!❤ Its like your pop waited for you and meet Joe.🥰 My Nane passed away 5 years ago a few days after Canadian Thanksgiving in October. ❤ My husband's grandma passed away the 19th a few days before Christmas and a friend of mine who was only 27. 😭❤Your message and pictures made me cry so much.❤Grandparents are so Special they are always proud of us.😊❤

I flew to Holland from Australia straight after graduation and my Mum and little brother made their way over three weeks later. We all came because Opa was having an operation and we hadn’t been back to Holland for 5 years. I am so happy we got to enjoy each other’s company before he passed the day after my Mother and brother arrived. He waited for us just like your Pop waited for you Dianne ❤️ much love from my family to yours
