I’m a female Army veteran and 29 year active member of the American Legion. My son attended Boys State and daughter attended Girls State sponsored by the Auxiliary. My beef with the American Legion is that the Girls State should be an American Legion program. In addition, the Sons of the American Legion should be coed. The Auxiliary is a fine organization, but the American Legion should be 100% inclusive for females.
